Being the live music capital of the world has to count for something style-wise, right? Sadly, no one touts Austin as a fashion capitol yet, but that may change soon with the advent of Fashion Week, which lasts through July 17. In a town that embraces originality and shopping locally over brand-names and overt status symbols, expect intimate parties in independent boutiques that showcase local designers. The showcase ends with awards show and a collection from Johnathan Kayne Gillaspie, a designer from Season 3 of "Project Runway.
