Typically the largest Independence Day celebration in Austin, made even more sentimental this year returning to Auditorium Shores. Enjoy the day with tons of food from local vendors, bouncy houses and moonwalks for the kids and an art show. Later on, the Austin Symphony Orchestra Music, directed by Peter Bay will play a few tunes, mostly patriotic music and the ever-popular 1812 Overture, punctuated by 75-millimeter Howitzer cannons provided by the Texas National Guard Salute Battery. The only natural conclusion could be spectacular fireworks over Lady Bird Lake.
