And may the Ark sink to the bottom of Lake Travis.. Terrible place. We looked into renting the Ark for our wedding. We went up to Volente to talk the manager and we ended up leaving a $500 deposit. We weren't able to see the boat that day, but when we finally were allowed to see the Ark it looked nothing like the brochures and pictures online; instead, it was painted bright orange and looked like a garbage barge and it smelled like one too. The boat was DISGUSTING and they didn't care to have it cleaned. Needless to say, we backed out and now they're trying to hold our deposit. Supposedly it was sent in the mail over two weeks ago and I keep getting conflicting stories about who mailed it and when. Now, I can't even get the managers to return me or my fiancee's phone calls. We're one step away from going to small claims court. Beachfront boat rentals is absolutely terrible and I do not recommend them.

Fun! Be prepared for the Texas weather. The Ark is the oddest boat on Lake Travis. It sort of looks like a 2-story double wide trailer with no walls. I've been out on this boat a few times. It can get windy on the lake which means cool weather. Also, Texas summer weather can be unpredictable so I always bring a waterproof windbreaker and an extra long sleeve shirt just to stay comfortable. If you don't live here, and it's 100 degrees during the day, remember that a thunderstorm can bring 70 degrees, wind and rain with little notice. The marina and the dock where they keep this boat can be a little hard to find, take a map with you to get to the boat party.

BEST TIME EVER! ON THE LAKE!! WITH RHET!!!!. My friend rented a party barge for Memorial Day and we had a huge LSU party. It was the best time of our lives!!! And I can honestly speak for everyone that was on it. Our boat captain was absolutely amazing. I think it was Rhet. I strongly recommend to everyone I talk to, to rent this party barge (the large marge party barge....ha ha... i just remembered the name).

Best Boat Captain!!!!. My friends and I rented the "Large Marge" and we had the BEST time!!! Rhett was our boat captain and he was sooo wonderful! He took us to this really great cove where there were wild longhorns grazing. It was so beautiful to float in the water and watch the wildlife and the sunset. Rhett was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. He was a great host for our party cruise. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone and everyone!

Two thumbs up!!! There is NOTHING better than floating in the lake, drink in hand, listening to great music with an experienced captain behind the wheel!

They canceled 150 person reservation day of party. We had a reservation for "The Ark" and collected $20 from all 150 people to pitch in for the boat and food. The day of the boat party Beach Front Boat rentals calls me to tell me that they have to cancel because they have mechanical problems with the boat. They left us high and dry and did not offer any alternatives. Also, it is impossible to get anyone knowledgable on the phone.
