RUN THE OTHER WAY. DO NOT WASTER YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID. Made arrangements for two young women to arrive at my house between 8:30-9:00 to clean for 1.5 hours @$185 - yes, I know, exorbitant but I was in a bind. When someone called to confirm the appointment, she confirmed BETWEEN 8:30 AND 9:00 - her emphasis. Young women rang doorbell at 8:19 (I was standing at stove cooking and looked at clock.). I showed them in and to the two empty bedrooms and bath and was back at the stove at 8:24. They finished those rooms and I asked them to do the the baseboards on the stairs and a half bath that is rarely used. When they finished that, they said they were ready to go. I said, It's just 9:42, you still have about 10-12 minutes more. "Sorry. No time, " they said. I mention this because if they were supposed to arrive as late as 9:00, they still had at least 30 minutes that could have been used. Also, I paid for an hour and a half which, in my mind, began when they started to work, not when they rang the doorbell or pulled up to the curb.

One of the young women asked if I wanted to look at their work and I did. I pointed out that there were still hard water spots on the faucet and shower handle in the tub and a small spot of mildew/mold in a corner. She said that the spots "were part of the handle" and that the mildew was "part of the caulking." Then she started speaking Spanish to the other young woman so I began trying to explain in Spanish but just quit since it wasn't going to be cleaned anyway. And I didn't check their work on anything else at that point.

After they left, I got a bottle of LimeAway and cleaned the faucet and shower handle - shiny, like new. A splash of Clorox eliminated the mildew.

I have several things going on at work as well as holiday plans or I would have done this myself. Now, however, I am $185 poorer, but wiser and will never use the company again.

I wish that I had read other reviews on the internet first. I am posting reviews every place I can find on the internet though to help future clients look elsewhere and not make the same mistake that we made.

DO NOT USE. On the first cleaning, where they charge by the hour, the maids were on their cell phones instead of cleaning and I got overcharged by an hour. During the routine cleanings, the maids were lazy and missed major items in the house that needed cleaning. Upon calling the manager, Thelma, she gave me an attitude and said I was impossible to please. She also said they have a time limit of 1.5 hours on the rountine cleanings. I called the corporate offices who told me that is untrue, and that each local Merry Maids is run independently. I have sinced used Maids by Melissa, who are better priced and committed to customer satisfaction. Would not recommend Merry Maids at all.

Damged our property and refused to fix it!. We used MM in Pflugerville on 3/26. The cleaners left 5 white spots/splatters on our black granite counters. I tried to clean the spots myself but when I could not remove them I called MM on 3/29. On 3/30 an employee looked at the spots and offered to have them buffed or polished (she even said MM would replace them if necessary). Then we received a call from Thelma at MM who said they would do nothing. The owner won't even return our calls!

This company is supposed to be insured and professional and they won't even repair the damage they caused. I agree with the other reviewer, stay away!

Slackers and unprofessional. Well I had their services for about 2 months. First they started coming late and then only staying for an hour. My husband started to notice all the really did is vacuum and then wipe off the counters. After 4 times of them for only being here for an hour and even less, I called! I explained I was paying $100 a visit and they aren't even staying for an hour... I cancelled their services. Well that saturday morning at about 9 am the maids that cleaned my house showed up at our door to give us their business flyer and try to get us to just use them.... very unprofessional.

Then my grandmother was over the very same day and noticed something from our wedding had been destroyed. They must have knocked it over or dropped it. In my initial meeting, where they take down your rules, I said just leave this area alone... because the stuff was important and couldn't be replaced. I called them and the manager said oh sorry, what do you want us to do about it.

To get to the point... be careful, they promise you one thing and it doesn't happen. We had different maids each time, which they say won't happen. Just please find another company... I can't believe I wasted so much money.
