Tips for Kenny's Coffee House

Horrible Service. Its unfortunate that Kenny's is my local coffee shop. I prefer to support my local establishments, but no more will I bring them business.

The coffee is decent but the service and the overall vibe of the place is very lacking. I've had several bad experiences with the women who work the counter. Whether its ordering over the phone or in person, they're borderline rude and almost seem as though you are bothering them to do their job. I chalked up the first bad interaction to maybe a bad day for this particular worker but after receiving poor service the last 4 times, I am done with this place. FYI, if you don't want to take orders all day, get a different line of work.

P.S. The older woman who works there is great, its all the younger women who have the bad attitudes.

I wish the hours were consistent. I used to like going to Kenny's in the middle of the afternoon. On most weekdays they are open till 3pm but twice now I've been there at just after 2pm and it's been closed - the first tiume the door was locked and the second time the door was unlocked but the staff member told me they were closed (no "sorry but we closed early today" explanation).

If you need somewhere predictable I would try elsewhere.

Pity because otherwise I liked the place.

I miss the Kenny's in Round Rock :(. I used to live in Round Rock and would go to the Kenny's about once a week to study since it was right by the old comic shop. They've moved it but I'm sure the service is still the same. They had the best coffee around - better than starbucks or anything actually. They had fun games like scrable you could play and they had live music. The Specials were always really good and the guy behind the counter would make us special drinks because we were there so much. Ask them to surprise you!

I wish they would bring it back.

Cute place!. I'm new to the neighborhood and just had my first Kenny's experience! The staff were really friendly and the tacos were great! I had a snickers mocha--wow--What a wonderfull place!

Great coffee and customer service! Get the 'Kenny's Special'. Kenny's Coffee is right down the road from where I live. A must stop in the morning for java and/or breakfast. I like that I can eat and drink outside with my dog. They also serve breakfast until noon on weekends, which is appreciated as I like to sleep in. :)

Best Pancakes in Town. Kenny's continues to be my first stop for pancakes, tacos, and the best latte in north Austin. The Kenny's crew always remembers me and my dog and unless I stop them they have my "Kenny's Special" ready for me. Gary and Becca make a mean cup of joe.

Poor Customer Care. Kenny's used to be great, but service is poor now. I used to stop in almost every morning until I got the "I don't care" treatment from the employees. It's like they have no concern at all that I'm on my way to work. I've waited 10-15 mins to get my coffee here! Kenny's usually has one person making coffee and running the register. Sometimes, you'll have one making coffee and one at the register, but it's far from efficient and speedy. I've seen a line of people at the door while the one person makes coffees and takes money while other employees are standing nearby doing other things. (I'm sure those things need to be done, but when customers are lining up, you should take measures to get them taken care of quickly.)

So needless to say, I was disappointed and didn't go back for a while and then I gave them another chance and it was the same thing. Kenny's used to be good...put if you care about customer service...pick Dazzle or Blue Marble Java in Pflugerville, or It's a Grind on Parmer. :-)

not very clean and poor service. We've been there many times. It seems that there was a recent change in staff.

The place is no longer very clean and sometimes you find staff sitting with their shoes on the counter top, or you find the bathroom messy with stuff all around (stuff from the staff).

It used to be better.

Great place for cookies & breakfast tacos. Kenny's is all over my company's campus and it's preferred over SB here. The coffee is decent and the cookies are to die for! Don't forget to grab a breakfast taco when you visit the real store (address needs to be corrected here), it's fresh and yummilicious!

Love Kenny's. I use Kenny's heavily for our coffee & donut events at work. I highly recommend them. I've been using them for over a year. Their coffee is superb and their service is fantastic.
