Editorial Review for Gino's Italian Restaurant – by Carrie Watson
In Short
With a remodeled decor of Italian flags and simple, Tuscan-inspired paintings, this family-owned restaurant's atmosphere is classic Italian. The heady aroma of Italian favorites, such as baked ziti, chicken Marsala and lasagna will kick-start yur appetite. There's an antipasto salad and fried zucchini for those who want more than the fresh baked bread and oil. The menu includes seafood and veal specialties and an assortment of baked entrees and pasta dishes all made to order.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoOn weekends, the chef prepares special dishes that are not found on the menu.
What to DrinkThe wine list is not extensive, but each bottle is available by the glass. Most of the red wines are Italian, and Chianti selections are especially nice.
The ExtrasCatering is available; and though it's closed on Sundays, it's available that day for private parties.

Get out of your comfort zone-all the traditional items are great but if you want something excellent try one of the trout dishes or the mussels in zesty marinara or my new favorite the wine, butter and garlic--which even the appetizer size will do for a main course -just add an individual pizza (the best you will ever taste with a crust so light I don't know how it holds up to the toppings but it does!) which you can share if you choose and you are set. Service is very good and the whole experience has so much more charm than that of the italian chains around town.

Service was horrible! We were sat right away however NO ONE came to clean the table, take our order or bring us any water, i had to get up and ask for it, then the waiter threw the bread at us. Another waiter was too personal and sitting down in the table with a family, perhaps she was family but that looks really bad! Too many waiters and not even a decent service and the place wasnt even crowded only three tables on a thursday night! The pizza was terrible also, took forever and tasted like a fridge pizza. Then cause i complaint the waiter kept comming every 5 minutes to ask "if eveyrthing was ok" it gets annoying after 5 times. The only good thing was the fresh baked bread and garlic oil. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS HORRIBLE!
Pros: GOOD BREAD AND GARLIC OIL
Cons: HORRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE (YOU CALL THAT ITALIAN?)
