Don't trust their quotes !!!. I had been seeing Dr. Chappel for a couple of years. He was always very friendly, but they do always seem to tell you that you need something done everytime you go in..

I called to schedule an appt for my 8 yr old daughter to see an oral surgeon who was in their office.. The insurance person called me back to get all my insurance info & quoted me a price of $120. My 8 yr old daughter needed to have 3 baby teeth pulled, per orthodontists requests.. She had never lost a baby teeth. When she was 5 yrs old, she saw another oral surgeon who had to go in & extract a baby tooth that never came in because it was interfering with the growth of the permanent tooth..

She told me that my daughter would need to be under anethesia (but, neglected to tell me that my insurance doesn't cover anethesia). I didn't question it, because she was under anethesia for the other extraction for just one tooth..

I took her in for the appt & paid my $120 portion that the insurance doesn't cover, then 2 wks after the appt. I receive another bill for the anethesia for $200. When I called to ask them about this, they they tell me that apparently my insurance doesn't cover this & the quote that they give me is just an estimate & I'm responsible for what insurance doesn't cover. After speaking to my insurance, they inform me that anesthia isn't even needed unless 5 or more teeth were pulled. I really wish they would have given me the option of my daughter being under anthesia & let me make the decision of having to pay an extra $200 or just get a shot & numb her gums, which insurance would have covered..

Why ask for your insurance & give you an estimate, if it's going to be more than double what they initially tell you.

USED CAR SALESMEN OF THE DENTAL WORLD. Rose Dental Group, in Round Rock and Austin Texas, are the used car salesmen of the dental world. Went in for a cleaning, and they came up with a Treatment Plan of over $2800 that they said I needed, and they give you an attitude if you seem resistant. When I had time to schedule an appointment, and go back to my home town dentist 6 months later, it's a 1 dentist practice, I had x-rays, my teeth cleaned and a filling that had come partially out redone with bonding work to match the tooth color for about $200 with my insurance, and he said that was all the work I really needed done.

Do yourself a favor, and steer clear of this dental "GROUP" !!
