This is a nice place for quick work lunches and business meetings, family dinners and private parties, and it's the perfect place to take finicky out-of-state guests for an introduction to Tex-Mex cuisine. We happened on Mamacitas by accident while visiting San Marcos - but we were very pleased. Their food was great and the service was also. It was very busy but they handled it well.

I've been going to Mamacitas for several years, and will sometimes drive there (40 minutes from my house) just to eat! They make their own tortillas and everyones loves the green sauce. They also have very cute waiters which is a big bonus for me. I usually get the fajitas. They even have vegetarian fajitas made of mushrooms. They have dessert to die for also but I am always too full to eat any.

Tried it twice, lunch and dinner. Food was okay and a little high. Never tried it again because of the slow, slow service.
