Ugh are we talking about the same place?. After reading the other customers reviews I don't see how we're talknig about the same place. First off we had to wait for a host to finish their conversation about the girls they "bagged," then once we finally got seated we were tucked away in the darkest section of the building. Our waiter didn't reach us or greet us until 10 minutes af ter sitting and when we asked for "just water" gave us a look as if we were cheap college students gonna stuff them of a tip.

I don't remember the appetiser we got, most likely because it was bland and boring. What I do remember is that the entrees are way overpriced for their quality. We ordered the only thing that seemed appetising which was two entrees of chicken pastas. Currently being on my 3rd enlistment in the military I can tolerate almost any form of food, but this meal reminded me of the MRE ( meal ready to eat) chicken I get when training in the field, except the MRE's are seasoned better.

Besides the crappy service,the bland mediocre food ( which I didn't finish nor take home) the difficulty of getting into and out of the parking lot, or even the way the staff looked down on us, even after we tipped them over the 15% on the bill the thing that upset me the most is how people love this place and I wasted my money going here.

Reviews looked good, placed looked OK, turned out excellent. Was expecting a bit more before going in, but was pleasantly suprised with the service and the quality of the food (lunch). I had a smoked turkey sandwich that was so good I asked for the brand name. It is called Wiilow Brook and they slice it to order. Very very good. I'm going to look for it in the grocers. Thr house made Curry soup was excellent. The wine list is small, but the quality is pretty good. If ONLY they had table cloths!

Nicest Place in San Marcos. Now, THIS is the place to be in San Marcos. Very classy. Well done upscale menu. Fresh ingredients, well-prepared. Awesome wait staff, and wonderful kitchen manager/head chef. Highly Recommended for date nights and celebrations - birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc. - or to just treat yourself to a nice meal.

San Marcos's Finest. The best of the best in San Marcos. Menu is not large but everything is great. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is great. We tried and enjoyed all of the chicken and pasta dishes before discovering that they make the best sea food in town. The tortilla soup is to die for. My only complaint is that they wouldn't give me the recipe (just kidding)
