Southern comfort food at its finest. R.O.'s catered a film shoot for us and the food was outstanding. The service was friendly and the food was wonderful. Their fried okra was just like homemade, the jalapeno black-eyed peas were delicious, and the cobbler was the perfect touch for dessert. I highly recommend them.

Best BBQ Around Austin. I consider RO's Outpost to be the best, and unfortunately relatively unknown, BBQ in the Austin area. The owners are extremely nice people and handle all aspects of the restaurant. The husband and son handle most of the food preparation, and the wife handles most of the service and pie making.

The BBQ plates are very tasty. I would highly recommend the turkey and sausage. The fried okra is very good along with the jalapeno black-eyed peas. And the best part, the homemade pies that are baked each morning. Definately have a slice of the peanut butter pie.

The restaurant is BYOB and has about 6 or 7 tables inside, and a few on the porch and outside. Definately give this place a try.
