Krause Springs

This place is still one of the best kept Texas secrets. It's sort of like the old Austin where each person that just moved to town wanted to close the door and be the last person in. You might call the springs " a little bit of Austin" outside of Austin. I haven't been in years but I am married now and like to take my wife and kids to the finer places in and around Austin. Krause Springs is next on the agenda. Hamilton's Pool was a huge success. I'm certain that Krause Springs will rate right up there.
- Pros: scenic beauty, water clarity, casualness
- Cons: no hot water might be the only thing
The PRIME SPOT for family camping!!

We love to frequent Krause Springs! But don't take my word for it, go out on the web. They "DON'T" have a website, but there are tons of websites out there that other folks have included them in, just because it's that nice of a place. The only thing about Krause that's a negative is that there's "no hot water" for showers. In the summer, that's not an issue. If you're a winter camper, like me, then you've just got to take Elton Krause's word for it and enjoy the "refreshing" 68degree showers! It's "invigorating", I assure you! You'll be the ONLY ONE in the camp smelling good and feeling great!
