Love this place!!! The best phillysteaks I've ever had. The steak and chicken are both good. And the sweet peppers make it even better!

Easily the best sandwich I've ever had! Hoody and the rest of the crew are nothing but the best. Can't believe that anyone could have a negative thing to say about these guys. If I could come here everyday, I'd do it in a heartbeat!

Like home!. We had a friend suggest Hoodies to us after we moved to Texas. WOW!!!! His food is great. Always fresh and they are not afraid to load up your Hoagie. I have recommended this to several friends and they also love it. Try it out, you will not regret it.

Sub-lime. I have no idea why anyone would complain about this place, or go anywhere else once they've eaten here. Cheesesteak is good, but my money is on the Italian sub. So freaking good, friendly, and quick service, despite it's popularity and proximity to RR High School.

Amazing Staff members! Everybody knows your name.... I tried a Hoody's sub a few years ago and haven't turned my head at another sub since. Every time I walk into this shop, no matter how many customers come through everyday (they're always busy), they still remember my name and know exactly how I like my sub. This doesn't go for just me, I've noticed they know more of their customers orders. I spoke to one customer that had only been there 2 times and they knew what he wanted! This place is like the sitcom Cheers but with subs. They go out of their way to make you feel like home. There are 4 employees that work there everyday and apparently they have all worked there for years. One of them is actually the owner. Great people, I couldn't imagine any of the employees ever being rude. They're much much much to sweet to everyone.

horrible service!. what a shame! great sandwich with horrible service. I have worked in customer service for 9 year now and have never in my life been treted the way their so called manager spoke with me today.

Best cheesesteaks anywhere and great customer service to boot. This locally-owned sub shop has the hands-down best Cheesesteak I've tried anywhere. The chicken Cheesesteak is my favorite and the Philly is my husband's. The cold subs are excellent, too, but I dare you to find a better Cheesesteak in the Austin area. The owner/operator is so friendly and he supports many local businesses and teams. The restaurant itself has a real "neighborhood" feel; if it were a bar, it would be "Cheers".

Best Steak and Cheese Ever!!!. I love this place! It's such a treat to come here, wish they had one in Austin. These guys are the real deal! Authentic cheese steak subs better than all those other imitators, (i.e. Texadelphia...horrible). Everything prepared just right with juices running everywhere. You have to try this place! Even if you don't like steak and cheese, try the cold cuts. They use loads of fresh meats, cheeses, and toppings!

CHEESE STEAKS. I discovered this place when I lived in Georgetown (about 10 miles north) and about once a week we'd make the drive at lunchtime for cheesesteaks. Amazing - amazing. Huge and delicious and the sweet italian peppers they put on are a great touch. I still pull off in Round Rock any time I'm driving up I-35. I'm from New York and have been disappointed by just about every "deli" or sandwich shop in Texas. But this place is as good or better than the deli's back home. The Italian combo sub is really good too. One complaint, they switched from the good crusty bread to soft bread because Texans thought the crusty bread was stale and would complain!

Excellent Subs. I was referred by a friend to Hoody's when I was visiting Round Rock. I had an italian sub and it was amazing. The flavor was great; they used a sweet pepper sauce that just was awesome. And they were very generous with ingredients that matter (unlike all other Austin sub shops I've been to...you know who you are!) . The store was very busy but I got through the line fast. Great service and the staff was friendly. Wish it was closer: I'm in South Austin.
