In Short – Hidden between El Mercado Uptown and the Dog & Duck, this quirky eatery is patronized by bohemian students and state workers. The dining rooms are down concrete steps in a basement. Rugs, artwork and murals (a Mexican desert scene in one room, a jungle in the other) cover the walls. Dishes include an adobe chicken quesadilla with caramelized onions and a chicken chipotle sandwich. For breakfast, there's scones and migas. – –

It's a funny vibe with amazing breakfast tacos! I always have a smile on my face when I'm there. You really should try it.
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Great for To-Go
by bradskate
I have never dined at Arturo's, but we use it for "TO GO" all the time at our office building downtown. The food is always delicious and fresh. Try the Southwest Quesadillas.

The Details on Arturo's Bakery & Cafe
Background:
Don't expect mariachi music. A typical playlist includes the likes of CCR, Coldplay and R.E.M.
What Was It?:
According to the staff, the building originally housed a garage or maybe a car dealership. The industrial look of the loftlike, brick-and-concrete sub-basement dining rooms seems to confirm that.
