Great for To-Go.
I have never dined at Arturo's, but we use it for "TO GO" all the time at our office building downtown. The food is always delicious and fresh. Try the Southwest Quesadillas.

Tex-Mex and baked goods in a Capitol-area hideaway..
In Short
Hidden between El Mercado Uptown and the Dog & Duck, this quirky eatery is patronized by bohemian students and state workers. The dining rooms are down concrete steps in a basement. Rugs, artwork and murals (a Mexican desert scene in one room, a jungle in the other) cover the walls. Dishes include an adobe chicken quesadilla with caramelized onions and a chicken chipotle sandwich. For breakfast, there's scones and migas.

best place for a chill meal and chill people.
Arturos is amazing for the morning. Best breakfast tacos hands down! Denny, the owner always has a big smile on his face. Loves his buisness and loves his customers. The food is great, great art on the walls, great vibe. Evryone should eat here!!!

Divine Dining.
As a recent transplant from Houston, I've been searching in vain for good restaurants. At the risk of being burned in effigy by proud Tex-Mex lovin' Austinites, I have to admit that out of all the restaurants I've tried in the city, I've been disappointed with about 95% of them. Arturo's is one of the few shining exceptions. I love the cool yet unpretentious atmosphere, the quesadillas are some of the best I've ever tasted, and the kicker? Probably the most insanely cool staff I've ever encountered (and it's counter service!!). Go to Arturo's if you like excellent food at a bargain price.
