What People Are Saying About Paradise

In Short – The only representatives of paradise are a few neon-colored flamingos and palm trees scattered throughout the room. The long bar is the focal point. A rotating exhibition of local artists hang on the walls. The crowd tends to be more docile than most Sixth Street regulars. Appetizers feature Thai sticks, skewers of grilled meat with peanut sauce. Entrees include a Cajun chicken salad and Juan big chalupa, which is just as the name says.
Best food and bar on sixth street
by Heyns
The staff is as great as the food. I had lunch there today with five of my friends. I asked the waitress if she could serve me a hamburger on French bread. No problem in fact she helped me create my own item off the menu. I love that.
- Pros: Food, Service, Ambience
- Cons: parking
Used to be Decent, now Beware of small crawling animals
by austinmotel
"HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE...Been in Austin 20 years, have eaten here plenty of times and it's always just what it is, a burger place on 6th, with option for Chicken Fried Steak and a place to drink at a bar. Right in the center of 6th which would be ideal normally.....BUT NOT THIS TIME...Last visit for me. I sat and watched a cucaracha crawl on the wall under the neon light and then tried to eat my food and ignore it, then when I walked up to the bar, the bartender was shooing another HUGE critter off the cups in the bar area, needless to say WE LEFT. If they aren't getting enough business to justify a pesticide cleaning company....they need to shut down all I can say is EWW disgusting. Beware before even walking in the door,"
- Pros: Used to be location and food late at night...
- Cons: well I listed them in my review
Great Lunch Spot for Great Food
by tt1072
Lemonade is REALLY good, food is excellent, portions are the perfect size! I love this place for lunch and the occasional late night snack.
- Pros: Art work on walls is for sale and always changing!
- Cons: If you go at night or during the lunch rush parking can be tough
