A Great Place to Fall in Love. I love this place!!! The food, atmosphere, service and overall experience is addicting! I love to sit outside on a warm summer night and have long leisurely dinner with my loved one. The waiters are helpful, the food is for everyone and the overall experience makes you feel like you are not in Austin anymore. After dessert, I suggest walking around the Four Seasons' grounds and relaxing in one of their many benches. It is a perfect date night.
Great place.
Lovely place. Great service. And the chocolate intemperance...ahhhhhh...
I enjoyed the relaxed place - if I dine at a nice place I like to have a leisurely meal and this place is perfect...
and did I mention the dessert :)
Memorable and Fun. I was in from New York with a client on a Sunday evening and had a delightful dinner. As a vegetarian there were not many dishes offered but our waiter, Jason, suggested a portabello dish off the menu that was absolutely fantastic. My client had a duck and shrimp dish coupled with a glass of pinot noir as suggested by Jason. The food was outstanding, but the service was way above board. He knew what we wanted before we knew it and was funny to boot. When describing the saue on the fish special he said, "most of our sauces are a fusion of spicy and sweet elements, basically the political equivalent of Joseph Liberman... not too extreme in either direction... just right." On top of this, he allowed us to try many of the drink specials and wines by the glass for, "next time." The chocolate intemperance was divine.
Always reliable. My husband and I love this place. It's romantic, cozy, and the food is always fantastic. Unlike other reviewers, we don't mind being there for a couple hours (much like France), we actually like the fact that we aren't rushed out the door. . .we can take our time, enjoy all the courses, and enjoy a night out on the town. We have always found the wait staff to be very attentive and knowledgeable about what is being served.
SERVICE SUCKED!. I will not ever go back here. I dont mine paying good money for food and good service but this place didnt come close to my expectations. The food was "okay" and our waiter was extremly slow. We were there for about two hours, sitting there waiting for everything. Got dessert and told her I would like my check and it took her another 20 minutes to get that to me.
no mint for the mojito. The night I went, the hostess told me that this restaurant was the closest to the Congress bridge and my party would be able to see the bats from the outdoor seating, but she neglected to mention the fact that there were so many trees in the way we would hardly be able to see anything. Our waiter "forgot" to bring in the mint, so I couldn't have a mojito (which was the reason I wanted to go in the first place). Then, he insisted on being extremely pushy and trying to get us to order our entire meal before he had even gotten our drinks! To top it all off, the dessert of the day had very sour unripened fruit.
great food and service. The Shoreline is always quiet and relaxing. The servers are some of the best in Austin.
