What People Are Saying About Stubb's Jr. - Indoor Stage

In Short – Moving several times since their first Austin location, Stubb's now calls the Sixth Street district home. The hardwood floors and wooden tables and chairs provide the perfect setting for the legendary hickory-smoked barbecue. The restaurant is famous for a Sunday Gospel Brunch, when families crowd in for live music, a Southern breakfast and barbecue buffet. Weeknights lean toward 20-somethings who listen to up-and-coming bands while tearing into chopped beef sandwiches and chocolate pecan pie.
Staffitude

We dropped into Stubbs on Saturday as one of my favorite concert DVD's was filmed there I just wanted to look over the venue. OMG, the staff! These people are just full of themselves. I had wondered why the word "Stubbs" muttered on Sixth Street caused so many wrinkled noses, now I know. You'd think they were the talent instead of being the ones to wait on the talent! Too bad because visually it's easy on the eye!
- Pros: Great Building
- Cons: Staff
Worst Service in Austin
by Austin09 at Citysearch
Can't believe the rudeness of the waitress. Having marvelled at US style service, it was hugely disappointing to receive such poor attention. From wrong delivery of order, to late delivery of food, to having to ask sevceral times for items and a 'couldn't care less' attitude. The food was OK. The manager was just as bad as the waitress.
Once the bill error was resolved (they tried to charge twice for the 18% gratuity) their rudeness continued, with no apology or thankyou.
This restaurant does not deserve to be recommended in any Austin guide.

Great Music OK Food
by eddietx12 at Citysearch
Came down for the Los Lonely Boys Concert, which by the way was fantastic and Stubb's outdoor concert stage in the back was a reat place to watch and listen to music, A+. Now the food - ribs and chicken were OK, but the sides and appetizers needed a lot more taste than what was presented to us. The portions are difinitely small, surprisingly coming from a Texas B-B-Q joint and especially for the price your paying for them. Come here for the music, but you can find better elsewhere if you have the time.
- Pros: Music Venue
- Cons: Appetizers and Sides need flavor
