Beer,Beer and More Beer.... I was in Austin about and month ago and decided to go bar hopping in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Well we started at Ginger Man and I was blown away!!!!!! I love to try new beers and they had a few to try( 89 on tap!!!), My brother and I quized the bar tender from what to beers tasted like, alcohol content to the histories of the beers and she was able to anwser everything. The atmoshere is great!!! It fells like a pub, wooden decour and dark, they have a outside deck too. So the next time you feel like relaxing and having a good beer check out this place, Cheers!!!!!!

Excellent selection of beers on tap. I was in Austin recently for a conference. Despite bar hopping many different venues, it wasn't until after the conference was over that a local friend took me to Gingerman where I was excited to see so many taps along the wall, lined up so close to each other. A fine selection of American and European beers. Going with half pints allowed me to taste many interesting beers which I had not tried before. Next time I'm in Austin, I'm going to the Gingerman first!

The best sandwich, beer and service!. Went to the Gingerman for a pint of Maredsous 8 (can't believe they have it on tap - hoo yah!), ended up talking to the pretty and friendly bartender about (what else) beer for a while - stayed for a truly excellent Turkey sandwich (curry mayo on foccaccia bread - mmmmm). A very genuine place - nice to see in this town the way things are going lately.

aaah...the gingerman..... it's an awesome place to hang out when you don't want to bother with 6th street crowds. drink some guiness, play some pool, and relax, damnit!

Great after-work bar. When the weather is nice, I like to meet friends and sit outside in the back patio. The empanadas are pretty good and the tap selectioin is impressive. This is also a good place to grab drinks before before going out.
