Editorial Review for Lovejoy's – by Seth Sherwood
In Short
The crowd is generally a mix of alt-rock types, thrift-store denizens and coffeehouse intellectuals, and the decor consists of some rundown booths and an array of comfy Goodwill-type chairs and couches. Though not an especially large space, there are two separate bars. A casket-turned-table and a pair of tongue-in-cheek religious murals give the place a goth touch. Lovejoy's serves about a dozen wines and nearly 100 beers, including a rotating selection of five draft homebrews.

This is one of the few places in Texas where you can order a Guinne-cino, which is a pint of Guinness with a shot of espresso. Highly recommended if you want to relax and rev up at the same time. This was the original energy drink before all those store-bought brands started doing it!

Pleasently unassuming bar with funky furnishings and average craft brew. Attracts the 21-28 college crowd, and does it well. Check out the manhole cover tabletop if it's still there.
