In Short – The crowd is generally a mix of alt-rock types, thrift-store denizens and coffeehouse intellectuals, and the decor consists of some rundown booths and an array of comfy Goodwill-type chairs and couches. Though not an especially large space, there are two separate bars. A casket-turned-table and a pair of tongue-in-cheek religious murals give the place a goth touch. Lovejoy's serves about a dozen wines and nearly 100 beers, including a rotating selection of five draft homebrews.

I visited Lovejoys after a night of bar hopping on 6th with a few friend of mine. We loved it!!! The feeling was just right.. it seemed like it had been untouched by the trendiness that is 6th street. It is just a little grungy bar that feels like it came straight out of the early 90's. Great beer selection, friendly bartenders, the crowd is early 20's to early 30's. Great Bar!!!!

Guinness and cappucino

This is one of the few places in Texas where you can order a Guinne-cino, which is a pint of Guinness with a shot of espresso. Highly recommended if you want to relax and rev up at the same time. This was the original energy drink before all those store-bought brands started doing it!

Shook up, but in a good way

Pleasently unassuming bar with funky furnishings and average craft brew. Attracts the 21-28 college crowd, and does it well. Check out the manhole cover tabletop if it's still there.

Choices for eats are few and very modest. There are soft pretzels and a few types of empanadas.
Look Good:
The jukebox's tunes run from Dean Martin to the Dead Kennedys. Many local artists are also featured, including the Gourds and Spot.
