The room is done up with dark wood paneling and marble floors, and the stage is set back up in the corner above the bar. I found the meal expensive but very good. It was worth it to hear the great jazz duo that played! Both the stand up bass player and the piano man were superb musicians. I would go back week after week if I lived in Austin. A must hear if you like jazz.
Pros: jazz music by masterful musicians; valet parking; good food

Great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere ... but you're going to pay for it! Sullivan's is a lot of fun if you're looking for something a little less frantic than the typical Saturday night bar scene. This is a place where you can sit back, relax, listen to the pleasant but unintrusive live jazz, and carry on a conversation with your friends or date at the same time. The service was friendly and helpful, and the desserts are fantastic. But, keep in mind, all good things come with a price, and Sullivans is no exception.
