fire the manager. Once upon a time, this was a good spot. On my last visit, the bartenders were outright surly -- the most customer-hostile I have ever encountered in years of clubbing in Austin. Another fault: for whatever reason, Antone's has completely eliminated draft beer. The selection that is left is strictly lowest-common-denominator swill, is way over-priced, and on top of that you must buy it from the aforementioned neanderthals behind the bar.

best venue in the city. Antone's has the best stage in town -- you can see from anywhere in the place, and any place that hosts Guy Forsyth on a regular basis gets my vote!

A taste of Texas... blues style.. Antones has a similar sort of variety that any night Texas might bring. Varying in musical taste, and drink options. Antones can be warm, sultry and bluesy or hot, wild and rocking. This stage is very much like the soul of Austin; sizzling in a slow southern way that entices you into returning again, and again.

Simply the best. Antone's does not try to be anything other than what it is a simple bar to hear great music. And some of the best music one can hear there is the Monday Night Blues Band - the creme de la creme of Austin's sidemen playing the music that made Antone's famous

I need more..... Is there any way this page could include a schedule of up-coming events the way the web page for "the Back Yard" does? I think it would be helpful. But this is the best website and most informative website I've ever seen. Your giving the people of Austin with their hectic schedules such a wonderful tool; great job guys!!!! I will definitely recomend this web site to all my friends!

Never a let down. Antone's holds a lot of history in Austin and in the blues scene in general. Every show I see here makes me think about all the big names that have performed on this stage. It's a great location for wondering around before and after the show too.

Great music, historic venue. This place lives up to the history. Great new acts are getting their start just like Stevie Ray did. Plus they are now booking solid touring acts outside of the genre of Texas-influenced music.
