You better be lucky. I went there 2 months ago, and finally decided to write a review.

Beware of this place!

I got there at 4:50pm as a walk-in, and the artist didn't start tattooing until 9pm. That's how long it took him to get in (6:45pm), talk to people left and right, prep his tools, reproduce the drawing that i brought in and start tattooing. It was almost midnight when i left, for 3 small, simple tattoos of less than 5 inches each.

Then 2 of the 3 tattoos turned out to be just wounds. My doctor said they don't look like tattoos, but like somebody just cut my skin. There is no color there, just now 2 big scars. Doctor said the artist used a heavy hand on those areas, and dug deeper than he should have. I now find myself with 2 scars across my legs. I went to 2 other different tattoo places and they confirmed what the doctor said. He cut too deep.

The one star is only because the guy himself was a nice person; other than that, this was a very bad experience for me.

Great Place. I love this place I have been getting Tattoos by Jose for years now, and Now my whole family is coming 2 True Blue .Jose is very good at what he does I highly recommend him and everyone at the shop is very talented and easy 2 get along with . It is a fun atmosphere .

Pretty awesome. I went in to get my first tattoo the day after my 18th birthday with by best friend and younger brother. I already had a design that my friend had drawn up, and the artist (Chip) asked me a few questions and quickly got me into the chair. He answered all my questions...even though some of them must have seemed pretty stupid. He was straight forward with me, and very patient cause I kept asking him to stop since I'm a wimp and couldn't handle the pain. I would definately go back again, they had a reasonable price, and Chip was rediculiously nice.

AWESOME!! I love this place.. I got my first tattoo at the age of 18 and I had been contemplating my next one for a long time since then. Several friends referred me to True Blue Tattoo, and after much research and viewing portfolios, I decided on having Mike C do my next tattoo. When I went into see him, he was extremely nice. He custom drew my tattoo and tailored it to exactly the way I wanted with color and shading and all. This place is extremely sterile and I love it! I will definitely be going back here for future ink jobs, and you should too!

Really fun first tattoo-- no nerves involved!. My best friend and I were visiting our other best friend in Austin and knew we wanted to get a tattoo. After checking out one of the "top" citysearch places and being left cold, we went to True Blue based on a reference from some Austin people who are serious about their tattoos. We went in Friday night to check it out and the receptionist was wonderful and drew exactly what my best friend had in mind. We had a great feeling from the place-- really fun, bright and clean. We came back Saturday night and specifically asked for an artist that would be fun and kind. They put us with Jim-- who was all that and more. He consulted with us and made us feel comfortable, and even suggested that I draw my own tattoo (a simple heart). What a cool idea! I honestly don't think I could have had a better time.

eh. I've never gotten a tattoo before and have always been nervous about going to some random place so I got so excited when I was referred to Rachel at True Blue by a client from the salon I work at. I called over a week ago to make an appt with her and still have not recieved a call back. I also called a few days ago to check up on everything and left a message to get a tattoo from another artist there but still have not gotten any response. It seems like such a great place and all of the artists seem so talented there but its unfortunate that they have failed to contact me. Now Im back to searching for another shop to get a tattoo done.....

Yah! Another great piece bursting with color.. This tatoo shop has been around for awhile. It has a great reputation and will keep you coming back for more. There are so many tatoo shops in austin, and this is by far one of the best. One quick glance at thier books and you will see what I mean.

I like Racheal and Scott, mainly because I haven't tried the others!
