Worst Expericence EVER!!!!!.
So unlike the guy in the pink hoodie I actually got treated really badly. I'm not sure if its because I am hispanic or maybe I didn't have any piercings or enough visible tattoos.......but this was the absolute worst discrimination I have experienced. I walked in 30 till 7pm yesterday wanting to get a new tat ( i already have some but it was cold so they were covered up). The girl at the counter said she was only a piercer and that the next artist wouldn't be in until 7pm. ( the other artist there was busy) So we waited......and waited......the 1st artist finished with his customer and proceeded to go outside for a smoke. He never acknowledge me or my husband or anything , came back inside and continued to ignore us. The girl came back in and said nothing and finally the other artist showed up.......ignoring us too. I let him get situated and all and thought he would come up to help us......NOPE!!!! He went outside to smoke.....along with the 1st tattoo artist and the girl was on the phone. Never did the guys ask us if we were waiting to be helped or anything......just completely ignored us and avoided eye contact. After waiting for them to come back in from smoking......which they never did we left!!!! 45 minutes .....now I know perhaps we should have said something.....but it seemed pretty apparent that they did not want to help us. Talk about a definite need of an attitude adjustment. I did get my new tattoo.....and I love it.....Atomic on MLK and the drag was AWESOME!!!!! Silver Bowen is a great artist and I will only go back to him from now on. To the guys who wouldnt help me.......May God Bless you.....
What a fabulous tattoo!.
Much better here! I walked in wearing my pink Longhorn hoodie, and the guy at the counter did not look at me strange at all. He was very friendly. He asked me what I wanted, and I showed him my picture. He told me he was going to get Robert. Robert, my tat artist, looked at my picture, and discussed with me things he could and couldn't do. He also discussed how the picture I wanted tattooed on me would look. Modifications were made. He showed me my future tat, and I asked for one more modification. He was very nice about it, and made the changes. The final picture was much better than what I had originally brought in.
The tattooing itself: Robert made sure that my skin was very clean and sterilized. He had the tat machine on high power so that the process would go faster, but he kept checking on me to make sure I was okay. He would use witchhazel to do intermittent cleaning, and my aunt tells me it is also a great natural germ-fighter.
After he had done the picture, it was SOOOOO FABULOUS!!!! Then he recommended shading. I was a bit wore out, but he was the artist, and I conceded that he would know what would make it look the best. I'm so glad I did! MY TAT IS THE MOST FABULOUS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am very proud to say that I am the one with the tattoo of a dream catcher with five feathers, and a turtle in the middle. It may not sound like much, but if you go, ask Robert to see the picture. It really is a beautiful work of art! The circle of wood, the ties, the feathers, the turtle, the weaving. I SO LOVE MY TAT!!!
Yes, I would do it again, and am already considering another one. The one thing I would recommend to first-timers is think long and hard about what you want and the placement. I thought about my first one for three years, but as I can proudly say, I am very proud of it and don't regret it a bit. My next one I would like on the back of my neck, but I am going to give the design thought a year - I have various ideas.
i went to custom tattoos weary of the final result. I went to robert and was very pleased with my first one and now 5 tattoos later..i continue to go back and recommend him to anyone.Bring in ur own art, ideas, and total trust....Robert will do the tattoo with satisfaction!
