Overview
This performing arts center includes a 350-seat main stage theater, a 120-seat second stage theater, rehearsal halls, scene and costume shops, and administrative offices for the State Theater as well as other performing arts organizations. Public spaces are also available to the community.
The Background
The State Theater Company was created in 1982 as Live Oak Productions. After more than 15 years of successful productions, the company bought the State Theater in 1998. With $1.9 million in renovations, the State Theater has been transformed into a state-of-the-art performance venue.
