You might recognize Saint Mary's Cathedral as the exterior of good ol' Cheech Marin's church in the shoot em' up flick Machete. I'm assuming the interior scenes weren't shot (literally) in the church, or filmmaker Robert Rodriguez had one heck of a mess to clean up. This beautiful church sits in the middle of downtown Austin. Saint Mary's pretends to be both a place of worship and school, but let's not kid ourselves- it's an underground playground for gratuitous film violence.
