What started as a residential garden design business in 1994 is now a retail nursery and fine gift shop in east Austin. Co-proprietors Dylan Robertson heads the design and construction of hardscapes and decorative objects, and conceived the store to show how certain materials can be used to enhance landscapes and interiors. Her partner, Selena Souders is the plant buyer and is constantly rooting out new and interesting plants that will withstand our Austin climate.

I was beyond disgusted with my "Big Red Sun" experience. First off, their carry-out merchandise is horribly overpriced and overrated. While the presentation of their goods is fine, actually attempting to do real business - anything beyond buying some item to carry home - is a total nightmare. They are a fasad that falls apart very easily. If you are interested in having your project botched in every way imaginable, hire them. Otherwise, go to real professionals. Ask anyone else who has attempted a "garden/lanscape design" project with them - I've certainly never heard one nice word - not even close...I only wish I had asked around earlier!!
