Established in 1978, this gallery is one of east Austin's original artisan shops.. In Short
The old brick storefront is accented with large terra-cotta sun faces and Texas-style gargoyles. Inside, Clayworks specializes in handmade tiles and sconces (luminarias) adorned with animal figures, Southwestern designs and Texas symbols. There are pierced clay light fixtures, prickly pear tile-top tables and personalized tiles. There are also an assortment of embossed tiles that can be used for backsplashes or fireplace accents and gorgeously colored garden art and mirrors.…
