I love this vet!. I used Brykerwood as a 2nd opinion a few years ago, and should've switched to them then. However, I made the mistake of staying with my old vet. We recently had a disaster with both dogs at our old vet and have seen the light and switched over completely to Brykerwood. In the past two weeks, we have seen Drs. Whitworth & Werner, and both were wonderful. They were repairing mistakes made by my other vet. They are great & I would recommend them to all my friends!…
Only Positive Feedback!!.
There is not enough good that I can say about Brykerwood Veterinary Clinic and it 's staff.
A couple of years ago, my sweet boy became very ill, and I had gone to Dr. Biehle as a strong recommendation to me by my family..
It's funny, but after Dr. Biehle had told me that he would find out what was wrong with my little guy, and will take care of him, I was completely at ease.
I had another close call a few months back, and this time my little buddy was extremely sick, and we were told that it was possible that he would not make it through the night. Dr. Biehle did say that they would do everything that they could, and I have to say that he, as well as Drs. Moore, Whitworth, and Healy put everything they had taking care of my sweetheart. Through tests, they were unable to pinpoint the problem, and due to this, they continued to do manual research on this case. My dog had stayed 4 - 5 nights, and every morning I would receive a phone call from one of the doctors with a happy report, and was encouraged to come by and spend time with my little guy each evening. I loved this! He is now a happy, energetic, playful puppy!!!
If you have ANY doubts about this clinic, please give them a shot!! I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Vets, desk staff, and technicians. When it comes to your pets health, don't sweat the small stuff. I haven't had issues in these areas, but I will say that sometimes it does get a little backed up in the lobby. This to me a a good sign, and shows that Brykerwood is in high demand!
Good luck with your search!…
Completely Satisfied.
I had lost my dog and while looking for him at TLAC had rescued a kitty that was being dropped off. I happened upon Brykerwood only because my my regular vet was closed.
It seems as if they have taken the criticism of the front desk staff to heart, because they were wonderful when I came in. And the doctor, Allison (I think) was absolutely fantastic. She was compassionate and competent. They also gave me a discount because I had rescued the cat from TLAC. The kitty tested positive for feline leukemia, so right now they are trying to find a place where he can go.
Coincidentally, I found my dog when I went back to TLAC, and he had been hitt by a car. I took him straight to Brykerwood, where the doctor looked at him and took x-rays. Again she was super kind and compassionate, and knowledgeable. When the x-ray showed he had a broken vertebrate, she got on the phone right away with the emergency specialty clinic for him to be transferred there. They loaded him up on a doggy stretcher and put him in my car.
It was a terrifying experience for me to have to put my faith in a place I had never been to, and they put me at ease. They are compassionate, friendly, competent-- I cannot praise this place more highly.…
H it or miss and sadly too many misses. I've been at Brykerwood for several years, and whereas I have often been satisfied with the clinic, I've had too many occasions where I have been upset with their service staff. In the past some staff have spoken to me with contempt, been sarcastic, rude, or acted cute. What makes matters worse is that when I've tried to talk to Brykerwood about this (twice) they have either ignored me, or worst still, treated me with the same contempt that their staff has directed towards me. The fact is, all I ever wanted was to be heard and offered a simple apology and Brykerwood refused. So I'll be moving onto a new vet and I hope that Brykerwood reads this and realizes that it is important to treat customers (especially long term customers) with respect.…
A great vet all around!. I have two labs that I take to Brykerwood. We have only lived in Austin 10 months, but since coming to Texas, our dogs have developed allergy issues. We have been to the office for fleas, shots, kennel cough, a spay, shoulder injury, and on and on. I feel like I am in there weekly, and not once does the staff or docs make us feel uncomfortable or a nuisance. They have been helpful in a long process of deteriming what causes the allergies and patient with our numerous questions. The phone service is fine. Sometimes the approach of the front desk staff can be short, but we have all been busy in our work days...they are busy all of the time. The building is old, not dirty. People are cleaning all of the time. Overall, this clinic is great and has made our transition to Austin much better as far as the dogs are concerned.…
