Austin >Brick Oven On 35th
Despite the fact that it's on busy 35th street, despite the fact that the interior is a cozy, wooden-floored affair with low-lit candles and artwork on the walls, despite the fact that their wine list if divine and despite the fact that their crunchy, perfectly thin pizza crust has nearly brought tears to my eyes, I'm always able to find a table at Brick Oven. No wait. Good for me, but I hope good for them, too? A perfect date night spot.
Best Pizza in Austin. Great service... Fantastic food... awesome atmosphere.. Try the trentino pizza//// great thin crust and the gluten free pizza is the best in town. The chipotle penne pasta is also one of my favs...
Austin's Best Pizza. One of the absolute best pizzas in Austin. Great Italian food too.
I recently moved here from the Northeast and I have been disappointed with the selection of Italian food and Pizza in Texas! I'm not surprised it is hard to find but I LOVE italian.
So I was very pleased when I tried Brick Oven Restaurant! The sauce is excellent, which is necessary for a great pizza, and the crust is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. There is a perfect ratio of cheese and topping. They do a great job.
I just had the spinach Ravioli and it was also wonderful. It is real Italian and I can't wait to go back to try the eggplant Parm.
I will say it is a little pricy for a pizza, but it is without a doubt worth it!
No more Eggplant Parmesan.
I was IN LOVE with Brick Oven on 35th's Eggplant Parmesan, my favorite dish, but they recently took it off the menu. Still a quality restaurant, but now I'm searching for my new favorite item on their menu.
The Eggplant Parmesan is back!
Change of servers.
I am responding to ljrob in regards to his last post. The particular employee who was responsible for this outrageous incident has been let go. I was and still am appalled at this type of behavior in my restaurant. This is unacceptable and we will enforce stricter guidelines to make 100% sure it will NEVER happen again. Thank you ljrob for bringing this matter to my attention.

Waitress eating off of customer's plate!!.
I was eating at Brick Oven with two friends one night when we saw a waitress eating with her hands off of a customer?s plate?.
We had a clear view of the cash register and where the cook puts the food for the wait staff to come pick it up from where we were sitting. One of my friends saw the waitress take her first dip into a customer?s pasta with her hand and eat it. She then licked her fingers and said something to the 3 guy employees who were standing there watching her do it as if this were completely normal to do which only makes matters worse. My friend told us what she had seen so we turned to look in disbelief, but then the waitress reached in again and took some more pasta with her dirty hands that she had just licked!! She then put the plates on her tray and delivered them to a table in the back! It was disgusting and if this is happening in plain sight, what might be happening in the kitchen???
All I know is, we will never eat there again and I neither will anyone who has heard this story. So much for the convenient neighborhood restaurant.
I have been trying to contact management for a week to notify them so that they could fix the problem, but conveniently the wait staff that answers says they are never available so hopefully now they will know.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Central location offers signature pizza from wood-fired brick oven, in addition to pastas, salads and extensive wine selection.
Wonderful!!. I found the Brick Oven to be charming, cozy and very reasonibly priced. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful! The pizza is some of the best I've ever had and the tiramisu is to die for! I frequently dine out at the "chain" type restaurants and found this experience to be so much more inviting and intimate. I look forward to dining outside on the patio now that the weather is so nice!
Great Dining Experience. The Brick Oven on W 35th has always been one of my favorites. I have yet to find a better pizza anywhere in Austin. On a visit in February, the restaurant was very busy, the service friendly and prompt, and the food superb. Two of us dined for $35, which included bread, salad, pizza, bottle of wine and desert. The owner was proud to point out the recent restaurant facility upgrades and his plans to open the patio for dining soon. It was great to see the changes maintained the character and charm of a local neighborhood Italian restaurant. A real gem and worth a trip across town for a truly enjoyable dining experience.
Food was AWESOME.
We walked in and were immediately greeted by one of the staff(one of the cooks behind the line). It took a few moments to be seated by one of the wait staff to a very quaint and romantic table. It was fairly busy but the waitor was friendly and we received good service.. The food-- GREAT-- you must try the Pizza (we chose the margarita) and a fantastic Lasagna -the bread is teriffic.
Thumbs up Brick Oven--
