Best Cards and Local Gifts in Austin FO SHO. I've been shopping at this store for about 10 years now - although I know its been there longer than that.. A true Austin Icon. Easy parking in front, around back or in front of Waterloo Records. They have Hilarious cards, funny gifts, great snarky t-shirts, and lots of locally made stuff which is really different. I've bought some jewelry there that my girlfriend really liked too.

Every time I get a gift or card there people ask me where I found it. Oh - and they're open late and you can take your ice cream in from Amy's or your beer from Waterloo Ice House. Very cool. I highly recommend it.

Best Austin Gift Shop... Hands Down!. With more and more of corporate America taking over our "keepin' it weird" little city, Sparks is one of those rarer places you can still walk into and feel proud that you are from Austin. My son and I regularly get our endorphin rush by thumbing through their hysterically funny cards or reading the latest t-shirt Blair has so brilliantly found. Seriously, if you find yourself anxious about the impending familial reunions this time of year forces upon us, the recent and seemingly endless city condo sprawl, or even (and especially in the face of) something more personally difficult, head over to Sparks to lighten your load a bit, and give yourself and someone else the gift of a little endorphin surge. Oh, and grab a scoop of Amy's on the way!

Hip and Eclectic and Fun. I love going into Sparks. Every time I stop by, something new or beautiful or hilarious catches my eye. There's a terrific gathering of work by local artisans (of which I am one), sharp new imports and a huge selection of all kinds of cards. (And, as an added bonus, Blair let's you bring in the Amy's icecream you just bought from next door!) There's something for everyone.

GREAT CARDS & FRIENDLY SERVICE!!!. I love this card shop!!!! They have really great, distinctive cards and the cutest gift wrap - plus it's convenient - you can swing in and park in front while you're there. they also have cool gifts there too - jewelry, candles, etc.!!!

Great customer service. Eclectic and cool. Where else can a guy pick up 2 minute wrapping (a monkey face bag with tissue paper) at a quarter to six downtown. Don't think I met the owner but if the staff is any indication she must be PHAT.

Good Vibe!. I looooove this store! They have the most hilarious t-shirts and toys and cards. Great cheap gift wrap service (I hate gift wrapping), too.

And the owner, Blair, is a HOTTIE!

Sparks has cards for every occasion from bat mitzvah to divorce, and every birthday card one could imagine. Local card companies have also found a home at Sparks, which gives the selection a unique Austin flavor. Superman journals, souvenir "Bongo Naked" T-shirts and eclectic jewelry supplement the great gift selection. To decorate that special offering, Sparks offers lovely gift tissue and colorful bags in which to present them to that special someone.
