Disappointed. Advice for interested employees, always research salons that you're interested in. This salon needs some pick me up, definitely needs to remodel and update everything in each of the 3 salons, especially the main 35th one. The washer/dryers should be in a seperate room other than the shampoo area where you're supposed to relax, tacky. Brad really needs to treat his employees better than he does, as well as Kay, because she doesn't do much of anything about how he goes about things. They don't pay their employees as much as they deserve. The hourly rate is great when the staff members start out here since you have to build a clientele, but once you bring in more people, the incentives stop there. You never get commission (which would benefit you MORE once you have a clientele), but it benefits the owners instead by keeping you at hourly. The owners need to be more professional about everything. 6TH ST SALON DOESN'T HAVE THE BEST STYLISTS.COLORISTS! SO DON'T THINK THAT. If you want a real experience and kick ass cut go to Gina and color go to Ashley.
Shocked and Speechless!!!!!. I was a client in the salon the other day and was shocked to hear the owner talking down to his staff. I could not believe my ears. He even cussed at them. I will never ever come back to this salon. EVER!!!!!!
Gone Downhill. I never been one to write reviews but I have had it with Bradz. I've been going there for several years and in the last two years it has gone downhill! They hire ANYONE who's got a license. They use to be a high quality salon but wow that sure has changed. They are so unprofessional. I went in for a hair cut and it was scheduled with someone new. She insulted the texture of my hair several times (which I just laughed off) the other girls who cut hair were standing around being annoying and laughing. Needless to say my hair looks ridiculous...I was trying to grow it out but she chopped it all off and I wish I had just walked out...I could tell she didn't really know what she was doing because she wasn't confident and aggressive...she looked like she questioned herself every time she picked my hair up to cut it. Well, I WILL not be returning there. OH and if you do find someone who cuts your hair to your liking don't get use to them, Bradz turn over is terrible...their employees take off after a few months.
Bradz Delilah was Delightful!.
I had a hair appointment with Delilah at the New Talent location about three weeks ago, and I STILL love the cut. From the minute I saw the client ahead of me come out (with fantastic hair) my worries about a "new talent" were gone.
Delilah took extra time to find out what I wanted, and listened! The shampoo I got was wonderful, too. She massaged my head while full of shampoo and I relaxed for the first time all day - I didn't even know I stressed out until she silently worked out my worries through the shampoo-massage and THEN she washed them all away.
I left there happy, and three pounds lighter! Probably not lighter, but I sure felt prettier than when I had gone in the front door.
Big disappointment. I went to the salon on 6th St. and saw Bridget at the recommendation of Bradz call center, who said that she was their top stylist for women. If this is the best Bradz has to offer, they are in bad shape. This was not a good cut at all. I had 10 minutes of cutting and the rest of the time was just styling and promoting Aveda products. My cut was not neat or fresh -- just some trimming on the ends that certainly doesn't cost $75, plus tip. I have been a loyal Aveda salon customer for years, but I definitely won't be returning to Bradz. A big disappointment to say the least!
Satisfactory even with staff changes (I hope). I had been a client at bradz for some while and went through a few stylists along the way. They have always given consistenly good work and the salons have a real Austin feel to them. I have always been satisfied but never blown away. Recently, however, I stumbled upon Mel. What an incredible spirit. She breathed new life into my hair and made me feel like the most important person she saw all day. I have never received so many complements. It wasn't until a friend I had referred to her told me she was no longer there, that I realized something wasn't right. I found out that I had quietly been shifted to someone else, a stylist that I had never seen nor spoken to me. I admit that I was upset at the prospect of having someone else try to recreate this masterpiece. My hair is going to need some reshaping soon, and I suppose I will trust this new person. Bradz has always done me well, but if you find a spunky young lady named Mel out there somewhere, don't let her go.
Great Stylist!.
I had my haircut by Heather at 6th. I have been growing it out and I wanted it long, but didn't really know what to do with it.
She gave me an amazing haircut. I can wear it curly or straight and it's flattering both ways. I was unsure about blunt bangs and she convinced me to try them and I love them! I have been told that I have found "my haircut." When I ran into old friends, all they could say was how amazing I looked.
I have recommended Heather to all of my friends and will continue to do so.
Good Times!. I'm not exactly sure what becky67 is referring to, but I have been getting my haircut from Heather that works at 6th for over the last 3 years and I can honestly say that I never want any one else to cut my hair again. She is very professional and amazing at understanding what exactly I want done to my hair. As for Bradz each and every time I go it is a pleasant experience with no complaints from me at all.
If you wanna waste money. This company is a joke. I went to Heather at 6th Street and had a horrible experience! Not only was I too upset to complain, my hair looks like a disaster. She's way too cocky, she mentioned she goes to "extended education", hope she didn't pay for the classes, because her skills are horrible!! Never going back again!!
Best Hair Salon in Austin. Once again, Bradz came through for me. Claire assessed my horrible situation and with grace and kindness, made my hair look beautiful. What a professional team of women work there and I will not look elsewhere for my hair care. I have struggled with hair issues since recent surgery and each time I go in, I learn some new ways to fix and camoflouge my problems. Claire, you are wonderful!!!
