Dave Bain - awesome! – Dave has been cutting my hair for 10 years and he is a master. I get so many compliments on my hair I have started carry his card with me to give out. He does the most relaxing hair wash and his signature hot face towel during the conditioning is so relaxing...
Cream of the Crop! – Vitali is great. Christina can do *no* wrong with my hair. I've never left with a cut I didn't love. I trust her so much that I tell her to do whatever comes into her pretty and brilliant little head. She's also given me great tips and suggestions for my super fine and delicate hair that have made it super healthy and fabulous. If you're lucky, she'll have brought her dog to work and you can say hi on your way out!
Vitali is top of the heap! – Matt's been cutting my hair for nearly two years and I won't let anyone else touch it. He's a great guy, excellent conversationalist, and has never given me a bad cut. In fact, nobody had ever cut my hair this well.
Kara does the Best Hair – Kara has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years. She always does a great job. Her cuts grow out and keep their shape. Cannot say enough great things about Kara and love thje salon as well.
Always right on! – This is a great place........relaxing, inviting. Everyone is welcoming. Michelle Bjorgo really listens and performs perfectly everytime! Plus she's very funny and warm. I highly recommend this salon and Michelle.
Happy with my Haircuts – I moved to Austin almost 3 years ago and upon the recommendation of a neighbor, Vitali was the first place I tried....boy was I lucky! I have been getting my hair cut by Christina the entire time I've lived here and have been very satisfied. I have long hair with some layering....so it is not super complicated, but she takes the time to get the layers right and I don't have issues with one side being longer than the other or anything like that. It is conveniently located downtown, but there is plenty of parking. I suggest you give it a try.
Good haircuts. Bad haircolor. – I was an off-and-on again client for almost 15 years for haircuts only. After a few strands of gray appeared, Ronnie suggested I start trying color. 3 times he attempted to achieve the right color. From the first time, while my hair was still wet even, my reaction was 'this is much too blonde'. The stylist proceeded to tell me it looked great and ignored the fact that I was not happy. When I returned to correct the color and mentioned I was concerned multiple corrections were going to damage my hair, he stated that 'hair color doesn't damage hair' which of course I now know to be untrue; these are ammonia-based/chemical hair dye.
Most disappointing was that I took the time to ensure that he understood what I wanted. We looked at swatch books together and picked out a range of complimentary tones. The result was nowhere near what we agreed to in the consultation. None of the swatches we chose even had a hint of blond; they were warm, maybe a little hint of red, rich brunette shades. The comments I received from friends over the months between all the colorings were how 'orange' my hair looked; it was very brassy and in certain lighting even took on a green/gold cast.
After months of enduring hats and disliking my hair, I tried correcting the color again, but this time at a salon that specialized in color. The result was satisfactory, but the texture of my hair at that point was so dry and 'cripsy' that I made the choice to shave my head and start anew. Extreme as it was, it was the best choice and I actually had fun wearing wigs for a few months.
Six months later, I now have soft, shiny healthy hair in an cute pixie style and am blessed to have found a fantastic new colorist who not only has a good eye for color, but also uses organic, chemical-free hair color.
Amie is AMAZING – I went here for the first time because I passed it every day on my way to work and it looked absolutely adorable. As soon as I walked in the door I felt welcomed and relaxed. The receptionist was super nice and helpful in scheduling an appointment within a few days! When I came in to see Amie for a cut, she not only listened to what I wanted but walked me through exactly what she was doing. I loved the cut and it has lasted 3 months and I'm still getting complements! She is so talented and sweet I can't wait to come in again!
Christina Rassizi gave me hair that people notice – I get so many complements since my haircut with Christina. Before, I had long wavy hair, all the same length, and it just sat there being limp and sad. Then she sculpted it with layers, and now I have beautiful red ringlets that shine softly all day long. I don't even have to blow dry it. I just wash it, and it looks amazing. Plus, she is so nice and friendly and caring. She really takes time to listen to what you want, blow dry it and neaten it up. Giving you a good haircut is as important to her as it is to you. She brings a level of dedication, friendliness and artistic perspective that makes getting a haircut a truly pleasurable experience .
traveled 2 states for the perfect haircut! – what a wonderful experience...i traveled to Austin Tx from MS and had my hair done by my old stylist, Dave Bain. I look and feel as young as I did the last time he did my hair (almost 20 years ago!) If only he'd move back to MS...
