I <3 Ray Rose!. Ray Rose is the only stylist that I've trusted my hair to since 2003! Every single time I see him, I leave with stellar results. He's done my color, about a million haircuts (both drastic and trims), he styled my hair for my wedding beautifully, and now I've added the new Surface Smooth and Healthy treatment to the list. Wow, BTW - if you want your curly hair perfectly straightened in a healthy, formaldehyde-free way, this is the only way to go! Ray rocks!

the SWEET stylin' spot!!!. I just became aware of "As You Like it Agnes" (yellow house right before the Magnolia on Lake Austin Blvd)

Ray Rose, has been my hair stylist, friend, confidant, and inspiration for 7+ years. I was excited to hear that he had moved to a new salon.. that is in a much better spot than the Randall's lot.

The salon has a new, modern, clean, fresh feel to it. You automatically feel "at home" (minus all the clutter a home accumulates :)

All in all, this place gets a LIKE from me!

Ray Rose is a genius and hair God. If you are lucky enough to have your head blessed by Ray Rose, boy are you in for a treat. I warn you, though, once you go, you will never leave. Yes, he is that good. My long (below the shoulder), thick, fine hair has a mind of its own. It will never stay one color nor will it stay in once place for more than a moment. It is maddening. Yet, ever since I have been a client of Ray's I get TONS of compliments - even I LOVE my hair. It is soft, sexy, easy to care for, exactly the color I WANT. Believe it or not, Ray convinces it to stay that way until our next visit. There is no explanation. No one else in my many many years of salon visits has been able to accomplish this feat. The only answer: Ray Rose is a genius, hair God, and overall great guy.

Ray Rose, hairdresser extraordinaire. This was my first visit to As You Like It Agnes. I went because my hairdresser of three years just relocated there. The salon is hip and Ray is, as usual, awesome. He always listens to what works for my lifestyle, looks at my face shape, and honestly helps me decide on a cut that has never been less than stellar.

Ray is a complete professional who also happens to be a ton of fun!

Best cut and color and most fun. Agnes is brilliant. She loves what she does and it shows in her work and demeanor. Her styles are always fresh and the salon is great fun. I am constantly being stopped and asked who cuts my hair. I wouldn't ever want to go anywhere else.

Agnes gives good hair.. Agnes gives modern and stylish haircuts that are not trendy or silly. The hours are tight and she isn't cheap, but if you want a great haircut, this is a solid place to go.

Agnes just might be the coolest person in Austin. Agnes is an artist! I am always impressed with the outcome, and I leave feeling lighter, both from the cut and the conversations.

The Best. Agnes is the most talent hair stylist I have ever encountered. She is a caring person with terrific skills. She helps her clients look and feel great. Definitely get an appointment with Agnes or one of her people -- NO MATTER HOW LONG IT TAKES -- Austin is lucky to have Agnes and you will be delighted with your haircut, color etc. I certainty have been and so are all the other Agnes fans.

John's the Best !!!!. I tend to be a little, shall we say, "high maintenance" when its comes to my hair. I looked for two years to find the perfect stylist - and I finally found one - John MacDonald! I started with John in 2001 and wouldn't go anywhere else. He's an expert at color, very accommodating with my crazy schedule and gives the best shampoo in town! He's always been honest about what will and will not look good and takes the time to get to know each client's hair needs. I give John my highest recommendation!
