Austin >Genie Car Wash
Great wash Genie!!. Once again Genie comes thru and knocks it out the park! I have been coming here for the last four years and it shows. My Honda still looks wonderful. I can't seem to understand the reviews on here. I have had minor issues with them, but I always inspect my car before I leave. The time i did have a problem they quickly corrected it. I have problems most places I go, but i address them at that time with the proper attitude and I'm always taken care of.
LOST MY PARKING PASS TO MY APT.
I purchased a groupon for a full service car wash and took my car to get cleaned about 2 weeks ago. The service was ok and the wait was long but I guess I got what I paid for $40 instead of close to $90.
It gets worse...This morning as I left my apartment, I found that my car had been towed because I didn't have a permit displayed. Not only did they remove my permit but it is no where in my car. I had to pay $200 for the tow truck, get a new permit and I was 2 hours late to work.
I will NEVER return.
Ugh what a waste of money.
Took my SUV there for a wash and detail. I told the guy what i wanted to spend on the wash but he kept pushing all these other add ons that were making it ridiculously expensive.
Took about 15 mins longer than they said, ok no big deal the chairs were comfortable...
Didn't have time to look over the job since i was in a rush and thought - hey for $65 surely the job is decent.
Well got home and noticed one side had spots all over it, as though it was totally untouched.
To top it off, the front desk was rude and not very helpful.
I don't recommend. trying H20 down the street next time.
Avoid at All Cost!.
I brought my brand new BMW to do the car wash. The person there asked me whether I wanted a "handwash" or not. I asked whichever is the safest, and the person said the "handwash," so I decided to go with that. Then he gave me a paper and just ask my name and to sign on it.. He never asked for my phone number or the warranty information. Then, he asked me to wait on the reception area.
From the reception area, I had no idea where my car went. I looked everywhere to search for my car but no where to be seen. So, I expected my car is still on the waiting list. Also, while waiting, I had a chance to observe how they do the hand car wash, and this made me worried. They all look nothing like professional people, and their cleaning products look like something that can be picked up from the local Walmart for less than $10.00 and been used for years. When I purchased my BMW, the sales manager recommended me only to use the sheep wool and soap when washing the car. But here I am, and they were using "I-HAVE-NO-IDEA" cleaning liquids and something that look like bathroom towel. To make it worst, these people climbed over these cars and done everything so roughly with no care whatsoever.
I became suspicious after 20 minutes, I looked at the receipt and saw the price tag of $44.99 and you can expect my surprise. Now, you should know that it was a small yellow paper, the price was written in tidy bit letters -- almost impossible to see. So, I brought the receipt to the person whom I originally spoke to, but he said that it was expensive because it was done in handwash. I objected by saying "but you never mentioned anything about the price.” Then, this person pointed to me some other board like 100 meters away and said "oh, the price is written over there and it is of course expensive because it is a handwash." I then said "I don't want you to wash my car so refund my money” But he said that the car wash is already done.
I thought this was insane, and these people are thieves. I could have done a better job myself. But after arguing for a while, I just paid and left there, thinking to myself that I am never going to come back here. Oh, by the way, my car got a permanent scratch on the front and no where near clean because the car was not even properly dried. I could not defend against the scratch on the car because the person there denied everything I said.
Sorry for saying this, but you should be a moron if you come here to do your car wash.
Awful detailing job and over priced..
My dog vomited in the car today, and I admit it was a nasty job for anyone. However, after paying close to 200 dollars for a full interior detail and waiting 2 hours in the waiting room, I got into my car to find dog vomit still covering the sides of the seats, my shift stick, and around my cup holders. Not to mention, they didn't bother to vacuum the trunk, dust the console, or wipe the dash! Also, I found old nose prints from my dog on the window and hair still covering the floor mats. What exactly did I pay for?!
I recommend to any pet owner faced with a nasty car, or anyone just looking for a cheap and thorough detail to go to Mister Car Wash in Austin. But first clean up the vomit as best you can, because they do not handle hazardous material there. You will be much more satisfied with the service and the amount you'll dish out.
Worst car wash ever! Go here only if you want ruined interio.
I only gave Genie Car Wash LAMAR one star because that was the lowest it let me give.
DO NOT GO HERE.
Yesterday I went to get my car washed. Last night I looked in the backseat and there was black streaks all over my leather seats. Worse than that , THERE WERE RED MARKER/CRAYON MARKS ON THE INTERIOR OF MY CAR. I went there to complain and to get them to fix it, and the manager BRYAN refused liability and belittled me. He finally said that they would clean it only as a curtosity to me, but had no liability for the marks if cleaning made it worse.
WORST CARWASH EVER!!
Obnoxious upselling; overpriced anyway. Don't come here expecting any kind of a deal. Coupons are worth almost nothing, and labyrinthine pricing enables aggressive upselling. Took over 1.5 hours for them to wash my car. Unacceptable.
Shotty Wax, Rude People. There is no list of services and prices in sight when you arrive at this car wash. The man who approached my car window (after I had been waiting in line for about 1/2 an hour) was impatient and impolite as I asked him questions about costs of services. I ended up paying almost $100 to have my car washed and hand waxed (even though I did not request a hand wax) and it looked like garbage. There were streak marks all over it and wax residue remained on my car until I had it washed again a month later. This car was has poor service, did a poor job, and this awful experience took over two hours.
Check your receipts- pump and register prices differ.
Sign said $2.77 a gallon, but charges us $2.99 at the register.
Have used often with a coupon for a cheap wash, but its never very good, just cheap and convenient.
They steal from you! BE WARNED!!. Have been there three times. On my last visit to the WIlliam Cannon location, they stole my purse along with my checkbook and credit cards. Austin PD didnt really care too much, well they felt bad for me but basically told me it was my word against their's. So I had to cancel all my credit cards, my checkbook, have no money for about two weeks, and am out a very expensive purse. To top it off, it was the worst car wash I have ever gotten, even for them. The only reason I go there was because it was quick and cheap. They left white hand marks all over my leather seats, didnt even vacumm the back seat, but hey who can blame them when they were more concerned about making sure I didnt see that they took my purse! STAY AWAY! Im not the only one too! I told a few people what happened and I quote - "Oh I have heard about stuff coming up missing from that place a million times, change, cash, credit cards, cameras, cell phones....etc!" Be Warned!!!!
