Just great!. Their $5.25 lunch specials are delicious and filling. Their service is phenomenal! If you come to Austin, you can't miss out on this. It has the best salsa in Austin!

Love the new Reyna! The salsa finally has flavor!!!. I have frequently visited La Reyna for many years, usually upset with the bad service I would still be satisfied with the food. Lately I have noticed a change in staff and menu items. I love the changes! I'm so glad the boring old salsa finally has some flavor. For the longest time I would have to ask for sides of onion and cilantro to enjoy eating it with the chips but now it served just right with much more flavor. I love the new fish tacos and the new friendly staff. The margaritas are also a steal at a happy hour price all day everyday. Now my office group finally has some where to go that has a fair price. Thanks La Reyna!

Not whut it used 2 B.. Went to La Reyna at the least twice a week for years. Grew up right down the street from the place. Always had good food. They never ever had great service, but apparently the good food was enough. Well now that they have changed cooks/chef (whut a bad idea), i now have no reason to go there anymore. Hope they come out on top, but for now I can get chips and hot sauce almost anywhere in Austin.

Good changes so far.. Been coming to La Reyna for alot of years...recently noticed lots of new people. They are now under new management and have a new crew working up front...not wanting to be rude, but things and the service are much, much better. The manager said they have a new chef, and slowly things are changing for the better. The homemade beef soup was great, and the flan is baked in -house. Overall very satisfied with the changes...will be back

Migas Review by The Melbourne Method. La Reyna?s Migas come with two flour tortillas, and beans, lots of beans. Indeed the plate arrived with nothing potato related.

In my last review (Mi Madre?s), I referred to a way of serving which I call thirding, wherein each element of a meal is divided into thirds , and La Reyna comes extremely close to committing the crime of thirding. In truth, only slightly less than half the plate was occupied by the Migas; however, this means that slightly more than half the plate was occupied by sides. It would have been one thing if the plate was arranged with half a plate of Migas and then a fourth of one side and a fourth of the other side, but the only side (other than the tortillas) that came with La Reyna?s Migas was beans, lots of beans. Honestly, when the plate was put down in front of me my first reaction was to say ?that?s a lot of beans.? As for the actual Migas they had a proper balance of eggs and tortilla chips, with the tortilla chips still properly crunchy without being as crisp as the chips on the table (which is a good thing). Veggies were not easily found within the Migas, though, like Waldo, they were in there if you took the time to look for them, while the tortillas were delicious and had a fresh taste about them. Paying extra for cheese, though annoying (though not expensive), proved a wise move as the Migas arrived with a generous amount of cheese melted on top. The Migas mound was not particularly large but as it accounted for a fairly decent part of the plate (though less than the beans) the amount was respectable. Overall the Migas were good, although they were very greasy, true there was nothing particularly wonderful about them, but neither was their anything holding them back oh wait there was: the beans. I ate roughly half of the rather bland and basic beans, which incidentally is about the amount that should have been on the plate to begin with.

I love La Reyna!. I love La Reyna! This is one of the best "mom and pop" restaurants in Austin. The food is fantastic, the service is great and the atmosphere laid-back. The prices can't be beat. I don't know of anywhere else two people can get meals and drinks for $20. I highly recommend La Reyna.

Awesome Veggie Enchiladas. The staff is super polite and the veggie (mushroom) enchiladas and the enchiladas rancheras (cheese, potato, carrots, chiles) are staples of my diet. Lots of food for little money. I basically moved to a house with higher rent just so I could be closer!

Enchiladas!!. I got the veggie enchilada and it was delicious! Very filling. Personally didn't really like the corn tortillas but the flour ones were great. They charge a $1 for the 2nd basket of chips though!

Solid food, solid price. I highly enjoyed my wife and I's visit to La Reyna last month. fast service, good food, and a bill that did not clean us out.

Delicious Authentic Mexican. Having never been there before, I decided to try a new Mexican restaurant out for once in Austin. A friend of mine tried La Reyna and told me to go and I'm so glad I did. There are a lot of great tex-mex restaurants in Austin, but this one is definitely now one of my top 3 favorites. Customer service was great, the food came fast, and my bill was not bad at all.

Definitely a must-go!
