The Purple Margarita at Baby A's is the stuff of myth and lore. I remember being warned about it during college, under hushed whispers that you could only order two before they cut you off. Now yes, the Purple Marg is strong -- and sweet. No, it's not the creme de la creme of Austin margaritas. But it's a rite of passage nonetheless, just like Mexican Martini's at Trudy's, Kerbey queso, and eating out of the bulk bins at Hancock Center H-E-B when nobody is looking.

Worst Service EVER. They took forever to seat us even though they weren't busy. Then our server took forever to greet us and take our order. After sitting on the half-empty patio for 20 minutes without even being given chips or water, we walked out. Prior to this, I ate there with 3 friends a long time ago. Our waitress was rude to us and some kind of moisture on the wall was dripping on my friend. Next time, I'm going to Chuy's no matter how long the wait is!

Every Week. I visist Baby A's at least once a week, at the 51st or Riverside location. Of course the Rita's are the best for after, but for lunch the Baby A's tortilla soup is to die for. I look forward to rainy days, that means soup for lunch. Now they even have appetitizers half-price on Mon & Tues. We need a Baby A's in San Marcos!!! It's a good thing I work in Austin, so I can get my soup fix weekly!
