Used to LOVE this place but not thrilled with my last visit. Cold food had to be reheated. Apologetic staff makes me willing to try again...
it used to be good. i used to go to romeo's alot but it has declined in quality. On my most recent visit the waitstaff was pleasant but the food was bad. I had met one of the chefs prior to my bad experience and was very fond of his food. I feel he made the restaurant better however i recently found out that he is no longer there anymore. Since his departure the only remaining quality items are the cakes which he brought to romeo's from Aladdin's Eatery. He was the executive chef there and made the most wonderful food. I miss his cooking. I hope they realized what they did by letting him go…
homey, italian..simple and sweet.
Went here with a couple friends on valentines night without a reservation, was expecting a long wait but only waited maybe 15 minutes.. was seated in the room facing the window which I liked. I dont
mind the decor at all..the grapes and the tables seem to be purposely done as an old italy time feel. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable ..we all had drafts or glasses of wine which were reasonably priced.
Tried the stuffed mushrooms-SO DELICIOUS! Also had the spinach and artichoke dip, thought it was better than most places. Tried a tiny bit of everyones dishes.. the portions were large.. My friend had a huge pizza(didnt try it but he said it was good). I had the tortellini pomodoro and that was delicious, sauce was great and was told the tortellini is made in the house each morning, was very good. My date had the pork lombardo- I want this next time, it was amazing. Also tried a bit of my friends stuffed shells and thought they were good. We shared a chocolate cream cake and it was very tasty. I've been a fan of this place for years.. I often describe it as a cute date/group spot, not too fancy.. definitely better than olive garden but not high in the ranks of such like Vespaio. It's a happy medium, and I am always happy to have italian food that is simple and traditional.…
What a joke. My wife and I arrived for a 7:30 PM "reservation" (on a Saturday night) at this establishment at 7:15 PM. There were approx. 75 half drunk 20 somethings milling about the entrance area/foyer who refused to get out of the way so that we could check in. Finally, after shoving my way to the maitre d stand, I was told that it would be over an HOUR before I could be seated. The 3 employees at the maitre d stand were absolutely clueless. No member of management was conducting crowd control. They took their phone off the hook so that patrons could not call in. My wife and I were so disgusted with the experience that we just left. Obviously, these people do NOT know the difference between "open seating" and a "reservation". If standing out on the street with a bunch of drunk 20 something posers is your thing, then by all means make a "reservation" at this dump. BEWARE that you will be treated like crap when you arrive by clueless employees and an obviously amateur management team. ZERO stars ... will not go back. The whole experience was a total turnoff.…
Not a Fan. Used to go to Romeo's often but over the last several months the service has really gone down hill and the food hasn't been good. Not sure if there was a change in kitchen staff or new management, but I haven't been pleased lately. They used to have such good eggplant... just hasn't been the same.…
