There's always a line in the drive-through and folks settle at picnic tables scattered around the parking lot. Classic burgers, fries and famous frozen custard are the draw. If you are lucky enough to have the pleasure to dine at Sandy's or pick the food up to go you are incredibly lucky. This is a dying breed in Austin, not only is the food phenomenal, yes... hamburgers, fries and hot dog for dessert is phenomenal, lets not forget how much the land it sits on is worth (a lot o cash). It won't be around forever, at some point their price will be met and they will sell, a 40 story condo complex will go up. Get there, enjoy! Hamburger, hot dog for dessert and a milk shake to wash it down with, that's Austin. FYI The seating is outside because 9 months out of the year that is where we want to be, and the parking is a situation you will run into with anything worthwhile i Austin. If you live or visit here... you just have to deal with it, we aren't Houston or Dallas. We have our own thing going on, Sandy's is a great example!

Sandys has great Food, the price is right and the milkshakes are great ( besides the THIN Straws).Customer service is horrible, the lady that takes the orders is on the rag all the time. They are so greety with the ketchup, and what i dont understand is why you can not have seperate orders. They are stuck in the dark ages and do not accept credit cards.If you get rid of those 4 things I would have given it a 5 star, I just think food taste better if you get it from great people.
