Just a Good Hamburger. People rave about Sandy's and how delicious it is and how fresh the food is that I decided to give it a try. The location for Sandy's is great. Especially if you are out for a festival or coming back from the springs its fast and is walkable. Especially during the summer time, it stays pretty packed. So expect lines and a bit of a wait. The food is made to order so your not biting into something that has been sitting under a heat lamp for 30 minutes or more. Fresh food is always a huge plus for me.

The reason why I feel like Sandy's hamburgers are only ok is because there burgers do not have much flavor. I feel like I can make them myself at home and not waste the time to go there to get theirs. When I take a bite in a burger made by someone else I want to feel like I can't make it at home and trying to figure out what seasonings they put in it to make it so delicious. Their burgers are just so plain.

best shake. I love this place! i like to go and get a burger and shake and then go to the park and eat. The location is absolutely perfect with an amazing view of austin. The shakes are the best by far and the burgers are amazing. Five stars by far.

WOW! I wish there was one in California. I consider myself somewhat of a burger aficionado. After all coming from California home of In-N-Out, The Habit, Hamburger Mary's, etc. That we had the market on hamburgers. Sandy's proved to me that I was wrong!

The burger was the hamburger combo meal for only $4.69, I got mine with cheese and the burger was very big when compared to all of the chain restaurants, best yet it was absolutely delicious. The cheese was melted and the basic burger had lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard and mayo. The fries where shoestring and where cooked to perfection, and you were given a decent size soda as part of the deal probably considered a medium to large at most other restaurants. Everything was so good that I thought I must try to custard!

I returned to the window and ordered the custard. Although unlike some other custard restaurants where they add things to the custard, Sandy's is a purist and it is only custard or dipped. To the person that said it was only soft-serve, they obviously have an under develop pallet as the custard was creamy and rich nothing like what you would get out of a McDonald's.

If your in the mood for a burger, RUN, RUN, RUN to Sandy's I can't wait to go back!

It tastes so good!. I've been going to Sandy's every Friday with my friends for lunch since August. It is in a sense, our weekly Hajj. I usually get a double burger, fries, and water for $6.15, but they did something so it comes out to $6.47 now, and that bothers me because I always pay in exact change. Oh well, such is life.

I don't care how cheap or greasy the burgers are. They. Taste. Good. If you're in the mood for a fatty burger, these puppies can satisfy that craving for fat your brain is having, and it will feel awesome. Really, they're just straight up tasty burgers. More than once have I quoted Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction in that, "This IS a tasty burger!"

I also like how the fry to burger ratio is in perfect sync. Some places like Huts give you a truckload of fries with a tiny burger, or vice versa. Not at Sandy's. You get one size of fry which is exactly enough to keep you satisfied.

I don't usually get sodas just because I don't like high fructose corn syrup, but you can get an enormous soda for just 2 bucks and add cherry or vanilla flavor shots at no extra charge.

I can't attest much to the ice cream, malts, or shakes. I had a malt once and it tasted fine to me. Nothing special, but it was still tasty and cheap.

Now yes, it is true that the lady is fairly grumpy. Since I'm a regular I think she may have warmed up to me a little bit, but it really wouldn't hurt her to be friendlier, especially since the girl who actually hands you the food is extremely pleasant.

It's not Central Market or Whole Foods. You're not going to get a wholesome meal at Sandy's. You're going to get a tasty burger at a reasonable price and enjoy it.

Good Burger. Well, I didn't go there to be entertained by the ol'lady behind the counter but she did not give me any trouble . I got the double cheese combo and ordered the burger all the way. It was an excellent example of the classic greasy cheese burger. Fries were subpar and the tea I got was good and sweet tea. Once I placed my order I had it in about 3 to 5 minutes. I would go back.
