I'm a little embarrassed to admit that
I sometimes take trips to South Congress for the sole purpose of wandering around this place. I can't afford the vintage typewriters, but settled for a glass inkwell, which set me back only $12.

Treasure Trove of Bizarre/Beautiful.
A shared space for the BEST vintage vendors in Texas - it's like walking through an Eye Spy book! Something wonderful for everyone here.

Not Honest.
No problem with the service BUT!! If you are buying something make sure it’s because you like how it looks. If it’s an electronic don’t ask them to try it out for you to make sure it works. We asked an employee and he lied to us and told us it worked fine and when we got home…..NOTHING! He lied to our faces with no hesitation. When I tried to complain they told us its our fault. Almost everything pretty pricey and not worth it.

nice place.
A very interesting place, but usually crowded and WAY overpriced. I like going there just to browse and look around.

most unique things in austin.
I'm not an expert at antiqueing but they have the best stuff for a really reasonable price. The staff is friendly also.

Charming!!.
Absolutely my favorite place we visited in Austin. So much to look at..it's absolutely a vintage/thrift store junkies dream come true. I loved how everything was displayed..such an eclectric group of things arranged in such a harmonic way. I bought a really neat vintage pirate bank and a glass syringe for a friend who collects old medical supplies. I highly recommend taking an hour or so to explore.

Looking for something you don't need?.
In Short
Numerous vendors, each with its own little space, give the shopper a true sampling of the world of collectibles. A random and ever-changing sampling of goods serves to represent each decade past. This is one place you'll want to take the time to dally so as not to miss any of the sometimes-hidden treasures--who knows what you might find hidden on the back shelf of that kitchen corner cupboard or hanging behind that 6-foot coat rack?

Superior Selection.
The knowledgeable staff know how to help collectors and looky-loos. The prices are better than most shops of this type. I am always happy with their chalk items. Old photographs, pictures, postcards, posters & frames are amazing. The jewelry, lamps, furniture, clothes , books & toys are must haves. The store has been my favorite for decades. Now, it is better organized, well light and often, items are grouped by color, genre or era. I'm not gonna mention the McCoy pieces-oops! My Sis & Mom from East Texas visit just to shop here. If you don't shop here, more's the better for me & mine. I LOVE THE STORE! And Steve, well he is the best! New items arrive all the time.

What a cool store.
The word 'awesome' is bandied about too frequently, but this place really does inspire awe. It is huge, and has literally thousands upon thousands of rare, unique or just bizarrely prefect articles. Helped by the ambience-great music, amazingly cool staff whose genuine love of old and beautiful things is very apparent, water for your dog on a hot day (from a vintage china bowl no less!),sodas in a vintage cooler, topical and political window displays from decades of junk made art...not your mom's antique mall.
