bad service
by RShield
I contacted this company to create a custom memorial plague. When I spoke to them they seemed interested and able to make this for me. I emailed them the files and the particulars of what I wanted, then I waited. Finally, after trying to reach them by phone 3 times over 10 days, I sent them this in an email, "When we spoke on June 4th, you seemed interested in this project. I haven't heard from you since, and now I'm wondering if maybe you aren't....can you let me know where we stand? I'm hoping to hear one way or the other from you this week. If you haven't contacted me by Friday, I'll assume you aren't interested and begin to pursue another avenue. I hope that's not the case. " Here is the response I received, "After further consideration, we will not be able to help you with your project. We need to remain focused on our repeat customers, at the moment we cannot accept small side jobs. " I responded back with "I appreciate your candor and I hope we are ending this business arrangement without rancor. "
I do not know who their repeat customers are, I hope they receive a higher level of customer service then any of us who have posted reviews.
- Pros: They will honestly tell you they aren't interested in doing business with you.
- Cons: You have to chase after them to get the above response.
Went to pick up my order after 2 weeks of working on it and sending files...they just didn't do it!!

The exact same thing that happened to the previous reviewer just happened to me! For 2 weeks they asked me to send various files, then send the file in black and white, then PDF etc. in order to put a simple drawing of a star on a glass award. I followed up each day and reminded them of the VERY important reward ceremony when I needed it. I left messages each time to call me with any questions or problems. Today is the day I was to pick up the award. I left messages that I was coming to get it. No one called me saying it wasn't done.
I got there and they said they just hadn't done it. And the sales rep, Paul, wasn't it and wouldn't be in all day.
I guess they think if they don't want to do something, if they string you along and tell you they are going to do it...they think you won't go to a competitor. Then the day you go to pick it up, you have nothing.
If I hadn't spoke to Paul and emailed him no less than 15 times I might think it was a mistake. I thought it was odd that I'd send a file then they'd say they couldn't open it, then I'd send a PDF then he said he wanted it more centered on the page, then I sent it centered on the page, and he THEN for the first time told me he wanted the graphic in black and white, then I redid the graphic and sent it in black and white...I think it was seriously a ploy to just string me along. It made zero sense!
- Pros: none...they are far more expensive than the competitors I had to go to when they didn't do my order as promised
- Cons: unless you have a large order, they apparently will tell you the day you go to pick it up that they decided not to do it.
Unbelievably BAD Service

These folks provided my business with plaques for years, and our last order missed the promised deadline by four days . . . and when I called to check on it, they told me that my order did not make enough money for them, and I should take my business elsewhere. Then, there we were, 4 days past our promise date to our client . . . looking for a new engraving company. I even asked "How much money would it take for you to be interested in the job?" . . . and they explained that they did not have time to do the job . . . even at twice the price. I have NEVER had an experience like this. Need plaques or engraving? . . . DON'T waste your time here.
- Cons: They may or may not do the job they promise
