Excellent and knowledgeable service at reasonable prices.. Received very good service at Ben White. They are competent and friendly people, at prices lower than the dealer. If you want outstanding service at a reasonable price, they are a very good dealer alternative to go to.

Thank you Ben White Auto for giving my old car a major tune-up. I can finally keep up with the traffic here in Austin. It has more power! They even found loose bolts on the rack and pinion I had replaced last year, and tightened them up for me and my safety. Being new to Austin, I did not know where to turn. But I'm positive I will be back to Ben White Auto. You can expect great referrals from me.

THEY GIVE COUPONS FOR POSITIVE CITY SEARCH REVIEWS, BE WARNED MOST OF THESE ARE FAKE!!!

I took my truck in to get a quote due to worn out brakes and a damaged rear shock. I had already assessed the damage myself and just wanted a quote. I dropped it off at 9 a.m. and was told I would be called back promptly with the price. I did not get a call back until almost 4 p.m. This is after I waited a day for a call back on a preliminary quote they were going to give me before taking it in, which I never got.

Not only was their pricing astronomical, my grandfather has a truck shop near San Antonio, so I know my prices for labor and parts and what is and is not fair, and they wanted to charge me nearly $500 over the actual cost of the parts, and almost $1,200 in labor, to change out 1 brake rotor, caliper, and shock.....

To top it off when I went in the next morning to pick it up, someone had rifled through my center console, some of its contents were in the back seat and I had brought it in completely clean, and a very special custom Buck knife was missing. When I asked the older gentleman upfront about this, he said: "Well I can not be held liable for what happens before we actually bring it inside while it sits in front, and my guys would not steal. If you have an issue with this and do not believe me you will have to obtain the address of the owner and send in a letter, but he probably will not do anything about it."

Now shame on me for leaving it in there in the first place, I did not think I needed to worry about it, but the attitude I was given when I asked thoroughly irked me.

I will not be going back, and I WILL deter anyone who asks about a mechanic or otherwise from visiting. Keep your money, and your belongings safe, go elsewhere!

Reliable auto repair.. My wife and I have been going to Ben White for years. We've found that Oscar and his team always shoot straight and do good work, but recently they outdid themselves. I took the bus to go pick up my truck and I had just crossed South Congress, when I thought, "That looks like my truck that just pulled in a driveway and now is just sitting there." Sure enough it was Graeme, a Ben White technician, who had spotted me while taking my truck for its test drive, and pulled over to give me a ride. It was only a couple of blocks, but I don't think there are many other automotive shops where that would happen.

I was mad After being ripped off by others and broke. i was only trying to get my power steering hose replaced,because of a leak. So I decided finally, its time to take my car to a honest business. So I went to ben White automotive . I am so relieved that I went there. BWA is honest, affordable, fast , and they give you excellent car service . They have great workers. My car drove smooth after they fixed it. Now, i know, that Ben white Automotive is the only shop I will go to for car service. I do recommend BWA to anyone 100 %.

I would like to extend a warm thank you to Oscar and Gary. They were very easy to work with, and they let my vehicle sit in their lot until I was able to pay them the money owed to fix my fuel pump. My vehicle drives great, and they even put the preexisting gasoline back in my tank.

They gave me a very, very reasonable price, and they worked with me in honor of all of our verbal agreements.

If you have any vehicle problems, and you are concerned as to who you might trust, take your vehicle to these guys! They are great, and they are up front and honest in their business negotiations!

Ben White Automotive is the place I have taken my car. They replace a timing belt kit and did a brake job on my car. Every time I go to Ben White Automotive I have received quick, accurate estimates, and professional job. Oscar, the shop manager is extremely helpful. I urge if you have need for a mechanic try Ben White Automotive.

I trust noone else with my car. Honest business that's had the same staff for years (that says something). From nursing my Subaru in its last miles, to my current car's maintenance - I trust them completely. I've never left spending more than quoted - and often a little less. They do what's right by their clients.

I have discovered that my new (used) hybrid can only be worked on by either the dealer or certain mechanics trained to properly maintain a hybrid. Needless to say, I am grateful to discover that Ben White Automotive does work with a car like mine...they did a thorough and professional job. Once again, I feel safe driving my car. Thanks guys!
