Best Auto Experience Ever.
I took my '91 Camry in to get the brakes checked and Rick was so nice at the counter. He let me know that the car would be ready by the end of the day and when I told him I would be walking back to pick it up, he said they would wait for me even if it was after hours.
The brakes were fixed - they just needed to be shaved down to even them out. Rick gave me the run-down of all the other issues I might want to fix, including an exhaust leak, torn axle, and new shocks and struts. I asked for an estimate of the other services and Rick sent it to me through email later. It was so nice not to feel pressured to get all the work done at once. When I do have the money to fix the other problems, I will definitely be returning to B&B.
Also, B&B has great deals on their website - I got 15% off my brake service!
I can't say anything bad about the repair or the customer service at B&B. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of their handiwork.
Excellent exsperience.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was completed in a reasonable amount of time.
Bryan was exceptionally nice and personable.
They converted us to synthetic oil and it seemed to work well.
We will return for any additional needs.
Hardworking, best mechanics and service. My veternarian referred me to Rick. It started with my Mustang years ago....then my dad gave me his well kept '99 Amigo, so it's my 2nd car they work on for me. I do not mind spending good money on excellent work and service, and Rick, Richard, Earl, Larry, Patrick are personable, easy to talk with, and the ONES in the back I did not mention deserve lots of credit, too. Recently the Amigo needed its' 100k mile checkup, and I ask Rick to treat me like his daughter, and he does. These guys are really talented, I promise you they treat you with respect and explain the most important things you need to do. I see so many people there while waiting in their waiting room, and all their customers seem very happy, too. If you want your vehicle to be repaired properly and with the right parts, etc, you should go there.
Quick, honest, simple, and a great price!. I took my '91 Explorer in to get a new muffler. Not only did they get my car back within the hour, they gave it to me for way less than what my internet research led me to believe I would pay. They also gave me some quick and easy ways that I could tend to my car on my own. A great place to take your vehicle. I'll definately be back.
Great customer service.
These guys are great. I am one of those people who knows absolutely nothing about cars and had previously gone through a several nightmares with being overcharged. I really trust people at B & B, namely Richard Arnold and Larry Ross who have been kind and helpful. They take a great, inexpensive and fast care of my car.
Last time my car died and I had to had it towed to B&B on Saturday afternoon, it was ready within 2 hours. Last night (Sunday) I again had to have my 16 years old car towed there, and I got a call this morning at 8 saying what was wrong.
Another thing worth mentioning; the first day I was there waiting for a courtesy ride home from them, I had a chance of just watching them deal with customers - (as well as talking about customers) and I was simply amazed at how respectful these guys are.
Even the Ladies' Room is Clean!. I came to B&B at 6pm on a Wednesday evening, after retrieving my car from another place down the road, with a broken exhaust pipe that wasn't broken when I dropped it off (at the other place). I was tired, mad and ready to kill someone. I had a trip planned, and now I had a busted exhaust system the day before my trip. Earl calmly started looking for the schematic and asked me to show him where the break was. When I did, he told me to bring it back in the morning, and they would see what they could do. He worked up two options--replace the whole shebang ($$$) and patch it for the time being. He also told me they would have to check the engine mounts, three of which turned out to be cracked. They spent ALL DAY on the phone, finding me those engine mounts (the car is 12 years old). I waited for a couple of hours that morning for a ride, and got to see them operate. They treated each customer with respect and dignity, and knocked themselves out trying to find parts and help people. When I asked to use the bathroom, they not only had a separate Ladies' room, it was clean, and they had PREMIUM TOILET PAPER in it!!! In other words, they care about the details. When I got the car back, they warned me about two tires (rotated by the tire guys down the road the day before) that needed to be replaced due to separating tread. I recommend B&B without reservations--which you should make, since they stay pretty busy.
First time customer - and Last time customer..
I brought my car in because it was having trouble starting and I had had to get a few jumps in the last few days. I knew it was a problem with the alternator or the battery. They said it would be $45 to take a look at it + parts and labor afterwards - fair enough. When they called me back though they told me it would cost an additional$260 to replace the battery and the terminal ends to the battery, for a whopping total of $305. (Terminal ends only cost about $4). I thanked him for looking at it and told him I was going elsewhere. When the guy at the counter saw I was leaving without doing business there he said he would 'Give me a discount of $30 cause I'm a first time customer." I told him no thanks and left. I went to a competitor also in South Austin and they did the whole job for $75 - new battery, installation, and corrosion cleaning of the terminal ends which they said just needed to be cleaned up.
$305 vs. $75 - That can't be called an overcharge because thats unfair to other mechanics who do overcharge - thats a raping. I give them balls for trying to get away with it but I'd be wary of their pricing, and do your homework first so you know what to expect them to charge. Or just avoid them altogether.
Our repair methods are a little more involved than what is perceived here as simply as throwing a cheap battery into your vehicle to correct the problem. Our diagnosis identified the problem as a battery and corroded connections. Not a faulty alternator which would have been far more expensive. We were honest with you as we are with every customer. While taking the quick cheap fix route may allow your vehicle to start and operate initially, long term use may be another matter. We sell only top of the line 72 and 85 month batteries. We make sure battery connection repairs are done right and a premium long lasting battery is installed. We want to be sure the repair will last for many years so our customers don't end up stranded, upset and having to pay additional expenses. So if a comparison is made in repair costs, compare the same product and services. Cheap and temporary is not the same as a paying for quality parts, professional certified service and having a nationwide warranty.
Excellent service!.
I've had my truck serviced exclusively by B & B for the last two and a half years and I won't take it anywhere else. The service is great. They're professional and well organized. I especially appreciate the individual attention I receive. They keep me apprised of my car's health, including future maintenance recommendations, but I never feel pressured or scared into any services. I give them my highest recommendation.

Convenient, Communicative, Quick!.
I've used them three times and each time they tell me a price, tell me when to expect the work done and BAM! It's done. So far my car has been ready the same day I dropped it off every time!
Once they even offered me a line of credit when I was short. Once I broke down late at night. I had the car towed to them, filled out an after-hours envelope form, put my key in the envelope and they called me in the morning with a price and called me in the afternoon to tell me they were done!
When my car is down I need to know how much it costs to get it back up and how soon it will be back up hassle-free, that's why I go back to B&B!

Great Service!. I finally found a shop that didn't try to gouge me on the price. I went to have my muffler replaced and they actually told me they didn't think it needed to be done. They still quoted me a price, which was 1/4 of what my other mechanic had quoted. I'll definitely be going back to them! That and the free loaner car and life is good.
