Build up the artistic heart of the city..
In Short
Located on a former Naval and Marine reserve, the Dougherty Arts Center was dedicated to the city in 1978. The space houses the Julia C. Butridge Gallery, which has 1,800 square feet available for rotating exhibits, a 150-seat fully-equipped theater and specialized studio-lab spaces. In addition to its performance spaces, the DAC runs an arts school for children and adults. Classes include dance, music, literary and visual arts, painting and drawing.
