A bunch of Jerks!. Ok, so this review is for the Einsteins on Lamar Blvd. since there doesn't seem to be an entry for that store here. To begin with, I know a bunch of people who have been having the same problem with this location and it's gotten to the point where I'm also writing to the corporate offices about the employees here. Not only are they severly incompetent, but extremely rude as well. In the span of 3 months they have messed up various orders and had me wait when there were no other customers around. The overweight girl of the morning shift always has a bad attitude and has on a few occasions, thrown my card back at me rather than just handing it over. They have at times refused to take orders over the phone when it's very early, but come on, it's a bagel place and some people start work before 8am. This time, after being on hold for about 10 minutes, then getting disconnected, they would not take my order over the phone, implying that they were extremely busy. When I arrived there, all the employees were just standing around and there were no other customers in sight. I received my usual dose of bad attitude with my change and I just can't understand how a place of business would allow their employees to act like snobs towards the customers. If I had the money, I'd start my own bagel shop just to offer some competent service and run these suckers out of town. That's how frustrating it is to order from this place. Don't bother going there unless you want rude service with a side of arrogance.

Best bagels. I think Einstein's has the best bagels ever!! My favorite is the Asiago Cheese bagel with veggie schmear. The one on guadalupe always has really fast service and great seating.

A student-friendly spot on the drag for a bagel, coffee, pastry or a sandwich.. In Short
Not to be confused with Einstein's Arcade down the block (one serves bagels, the other serves UT students who can't get dates), Einstein's is a popular place to grab breakfast or lunch. While Yankees will recognize that the softer bagels served here are not "authentic" hunks of kosher bread product, the students who populate aren't so discriminating. As a bonus, there is a ton of seating both inside and out for leisurely study sessions or crossword puzzling.
