In Short
This cafe, a block from UT, has a mellow diner-like atmosphere with comfy booths and an outdoor patio. The menu offers a variety of breakfast, brunch and dinner, including fruits, freshly made salads and generously sized breakfast tacos, all at affordable prices. Meals are made to order, the staff friendly, and the service fast. It's open all week and easy to find; just look for a giant egg stuck to the front of a building.

I've been here numerous times; easy laid back atmosphere, great outdoor patio, good cheap food, busy on the weekends for breakfast, has decent mi-gas and breakfast tacos, be careful of those birds if you eat outside, they are bold!

I go to this place all the time. I love it. The waitstaff is extremely friendly. I have a lot of good memories going here with my Dad for years. He would always complain about the coffee, but they actually have really good coffee... Anderson's I believe. Anyway, I usually go for breakfast, and if you like a good simple breakfast and coffee, this is a great place. And it's cheap, and the service has always been really great in my experiences. I saw one person was upset with the service on here, but I've always had good service, and the waitstaff is extremely friendly. For a simple meal that doesn't ever take a lot of time (in my experience) or money this is a great place. And sitting on the patio on a nice day is always great. My 2 cents.

Went to Red River Cafe because we had limited time, wanted a great, cheaply priced meal. We received our drinks and were quickly asked for our order. Needing a little bit more time we asked if she would give us a minute. However, our minute was too long because I had to get up to get her attention. We placed our order and waited for 30 minutes. After which time I asked about our order and the waitress forgot to place it. We walked out ignoring the apology that was given from not her but the other waiter. Had good experiences in the past, but it just takes one on the wrong day to spur me to action in writing a review.
