In Short – Housed in a gas station from the late 1930s, Posse East is a popular UT-area watering hole. There are tables and chairs with weather-beaten umbrellas outdoors and large-screen TVs (showing only sports--ideally, Longhorn games), pinball machines and two dart boards inside. A must for slackers and connoisseurs of no-frills dining like breakfast tacos and huevos racheros. The patio offers an unobstructed view of University of Texas life--students, frat brothers and panhandlers are all in view.

- Parking:
- Allow time for parking. A large student population plus a location one block from Crown & Anchor makes it a lengthy chore.
- Look Good:
- Order grub before 11pm (when the kitchen closes); the cheese fries are satisfying, generous and the perfect beer absorber.
- Save Money:
- Wednesday night has happy hour all night; Tuesday night features discounted beer pints.

Best Place to Drink Beer and Watch Sports

To the weirdo that doesn't love it, you obviously don't understand the point of this place. Great memories, great friends, great location. That is what it is all about. If you come here for gourmet food or yankee beers, you are in the wrong place. Just hang out with your friends and relax! I have been hanging out at Posse East since 2001, and I will keep going back for years to come!

best location north campus. very easy going, but not way friendly. staff is on the lazy side. ut kids who don't know better, but who can blame them. bring your dog, get your stuff and enjoy the spot. don't let anything else get in the way..
