Nasty's is one of those ever-popular hole in the walls. Could it be because the margaritas are oh-so-tasty and pitchers of beer can be purchased without breaking anyone's budget? The outside beer garden is an ideal spot for vegging out. Monday nights are hip-hop nights with DJ Mel and Baby G; while Wednesdays and Saturdays welcome live bands. Tuesdays and Fridays feature ever-changing surprise happy hour and drink specials.

I wasn't impressed. The place is a real hole in the wall, 4 legged critters and crickets and all. I didn't see any drink/beer specials, so I don't see what draws people in. Maybe I was there on a slow night, but the bartender was a scary, rough old guy who could use a shower. The standard pool table, darts and other bar games were there, but it was all old and grungy. Maybe I'm missing the whole point, but I prefer my beer insect free.

Nasty's on Monday is the longest running weekly in Austin. DJ Mel, internationally known, has a way with his records and tune choice. The diverse, active crowd is always happy and full. Although I can't attend very often, the vibe is always fun. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for hiphop lovers, dancers and people who just wanna hang out.

I luv it here... Nasty's has a great atmosphere and such a diverse crowd. I've never experienced a bad night....and at the same time never wanted the night to end. Best DJ's you'll hear in Austin!!
