Nasty's

great little dive bar. I had gone in Nasty's after years away from Austin. I had gone in there late one night,trying to find a t-shirt to buy,..(it was cold outside and I had forgotten warmer clothing) The young lady working the bar and the other staff employee were very kind and apologized for not having them ,which was nice and the patrons were cool and bar service was very good,.I will come back for sure,..and anyone who complains about the bar being a "nasty dive bar",.go hit 6th and hang out in ur foo foo bars. I wanted to thank Nasty's for being a great little neighborhood pit !!! Ya cant hang,get off the porch,..LOL Love you guys…

Not sure why an employed adult would go here. The name is very appropriate- if you're the type of person that could enjoy hanging out in a truckstop bathroom with a six pack of longnecks, then this is your bar. I'm no snob- hole in the wall places can be great; I've been in some incredibly seedy bars in 3rd world countries even that I rather enjoyed. Those places however had a gritty character that justified the filth. Nasty's, true to its name just seems to be a dirty little place just because it is too lazy to care about being anything nicer.

If I were unemployed with no car and lived a block away I'm sure I'd love it, but since I meet none of those criteria, I have no desire to return.…

The name says it all: it's nasty and gross in there. I wasn't impressed. The place is a real hole in the wall, 4 legged critters and crickets and all. I didn't see any drink/beer specials, so I don't see what draws people in. Maybe I was there on a slow night, but the bartender was a scary, rough old guy who could use a shower. The standard pool table, darts and other bar games were there, but it was all old and grungy.

Maybe I'm missing the whole point, but I prefer my beer insect free.…

Longest running weekly & best hiphop. Nasty's on Monday is the longest running weekly in Austin. DJ Mel, internationally known, has a way with his records and tune choice. The diverse, active crowd is always happy and full. Although I can't attend very often, the vibe is always fun. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for hiphop lovers, dancers and people who just wanna hang out.…
