Great Store!. This is one of those great businesses that Austinites are so lucky to have! Locally own by two of the nicest and most helpful women you'd ever want to meet. Besides a beautiful selection of unusual imports from around the world, they support and highlight the works of several local artists. Best of all possible shopping worlds. Great prices. Beautiful, unique gifts. REALLY great sales. Go!

Really cool place with great prices and service. I went there to find a birthday present for my girlfriend, the staff was very helpful and friendly and didn't try to pressure me to buy more than I needed. They even have parking in the back of the store. This one of a kind store has lots of unique clothing and gifts available plus it's located right across the street from the UT campus. I highly recommend you go check out the store, meet the owners, and buy some cool stuff. This place definately is one of the great places of Austin to check out whether you're looking for a cool decoration for your home or you need to find a cool gift for your girl. While the smell of incense swirls around you, peruse the eclectic selection of hand-made specialty items imported from around the world.. In Short
Tucked inside a modest house, next door to a coffee bar, the modest prices, free parking and global flair lure the curious. One can find hand-carved sculptures, textured tapestries and handbags decorated with the religious and symbolic iconography familiar to India, Indonesia and Africa. A playful children's section features cloth finger puppets, whimsical fairy dolls and clothing. Soothe the senses with soy candles, herbal soaps and body lotions.

if you have time. The women working the day I went to pangaea was more then happy to close 5 min early when my mother and I walked in about 20 til' closing. If you want to find the stuff you want and dont want to be kicked out I suggest you go at an hour before closing. The prices were ok,, somethings were marked a little too high.

amy is sooooooo nice. i visited austin and stopped in for a bit- i was amazed at how reasonable everything was. they had american apparel tank top for $9 and really awesome sunglasses for $8. the store owner amy is sooooooooo freaking nice that i wanted to put her in my bag and take her back to chicago with me. so i went on a trip to ny and left my new favorite sunglasses on the airplane and was really bummed.

i called her when i got back to see if i could purchase them over the phone and have it shipped to me. she sent me the sames glasses 2 days later for FREE! how crazy is that? plus they carry my jewelry there *niceLena* (shameless self promotion) but i hightly recommend Pangaea!
