Fast, Quality Work.
I called Barker to have 2 windows installed in my house. My house's exterior is stucco and the windows were on the 2nd story, so not just any contractor could handle the job.
I called 2 other contractors and neither of them would give me a legitimate estimate. Barker, on the other hand, came to my house and gave me an estimate in 2 days.
Once I signed the contract, the work began. They scheduled 6 days for the job but their teams worked so well together that it took only 4. Excellent!
The process was so smooth that I'll definitely call Barker for any future projects.
Barker Roofing. There are enormous differences in contractors and we spent 2 years choosing our roof/stucco/gutter contractor after the hail storm of 2009. Fortunately for us this time was well spent as our contractor, Barker Roofing provided exemplary service. Our home now looks great. Barker delivered in all areas, their crews were on time, professional and helpful. Justin Scribner and Mary at the Barker office answered all our questions throughout the process and worked diligently to ensure that my husband and I were completely satisfied. We would not hesitate to heartily recommend Barker Roofing to anyone interested in a professional job with a company that is willing to earn complete customer satisfaction.
Helpful and quality.
My situation was a bit unique since I was purchasing a home that required roof repair (because of the huge hail storm) before we could continue with the purchase. So naturally dealing with multiple parties - seller, seller's insurance, Barker, my realtor, and me there were some communication issues and problems along the way. Hard to say exactly where the issues came from and which parties may be responsible.
There did seem to be a delay between the initial estimation and when a relationship started with their rep. That said the Barker rep I worked with was very responsive to any communication. The project had to be expedited and Barker worked diligently to make sure it would be done on time. During the process I believe I received good guidance and that Barker did keep my interests in mind.
I did have to pay some out of pocket to cover a gap between what Barker thought should be included and what the seller's insurance wanted. Based on speaking with others it seems that what Barker wanted to include was more than reasonable and is what the seller's insurance should have covered.
Excellent Service, Excellent Results. I used barker for a comprehensive replacement of my siding and windows. Their attention to detail and communication throughout the project was top notch. I am very pleased with the end result and would recommend them very highly. I was especially impressed by their willingness to go above and beyond what I asked them to do. For example, when they discovered a couple of my doors weren't latching correctly, they took it upon themselves to correct the issue... and they also did an outstanding job with the detail work on the trim and adding flashing in a couple places where I didn't have it before, but they thought it would help.
Packaged Pricing Made Our Home Repairs Simple and Affordable. We first contacted Barker Roofing simply to get a bid on replacing our roof. The sales person that arrived at our home asked us if we had any other house hold repairs that were needed. The total package pricing we recieved for the combined repairs was such a substantial savings for us that we gave all of the repairs to the Barker crews. They got all of the contractors to our home within a 3 hour time frame and the entire project including the reroofing of our home took less than 6 hours. I have never had such good service from a contractor and I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
Disappointed - No way to run a business. After a few days I called the salesman to see when I would get my estimate and he said that the one that does the estimates was behind. I told him that he was right that I had hail damage. on 3-18-10 the insurance adjuster decided to replace complete roof. I told the salesman I had this and he really wanted to look at what the adjuster found and I said that was not important. I just want an estimate on roof. This is 4-21-10 and after talking to their office yesterday and was asked to call back in 20 min I could get nothing but to leave a message to KB and he never called me back. I don't think the salesman liked that I would not let him see what I settled for. He is the only salesman that did see my hail damage so I owe him that. At 4,600 it really did knock a hole in a 13,000.00 bid from another company.
Hardworking Roofing Company. My roof took a beating via the March hail storm and I began calling around for roofers. I have seen Barker Roofing ads on T.V and billboards and even the newspaper, so I called. I figured anyone who markets this much must be a stable company. Well when I called in April, they warned of the wait due to the number of calls. I decided I could wait and called back in March, almost a year later. I was suprised to find that they were still very busy but decided to get a bid anyway. The sales rep called me back the same day and was very nice and informative. He explained that he was also a licensed adjuster and could explain my insurance questions and handle any problems. I'm glad, because it turns out that my insurance company was cutting some corners on my estimate, and I wanted my roof back to the way it was, minimum. It took about a week to get my estimate back from the sales guy, but he sent it via email and I never had to meet him. His bid was very detailed and included some upgrades that he stated were Barker standards. (Ridge vent and lead pipe jacks and drip edge) I was impressed with that and went with the bid. He then contacted my insurance company and the next ting i knew, we were setting up for construction. The work was done in a day and half and the crew was all very nice. The sales rep visted multiple times and made some adjustments with the crew as they went. Overall, I am very happy with my roof and even more happy at the little amount of time I had to invest into the project myself. I am very busy and was hoping to find someone I could trust to take care of this for me. Barker certainly satisfied that!!!
Slow and shoddy. After hail storm, i picked Barker based on their bid. I learned quickly that there are 2 other Barker roofing companies (Mel and Dwight Barker) - so don't get confused. Barker Roofing underestimated the roof cost, installed during a rainstorm, and damaged the gutters. It took numerous calls to the owner to get the issues resolved. He ended up getting things fixed and knocking some $$, but it was an unfortunate experience and would not recommend them.
Editorial Review. Insured roofing contractors install and repair shingle and tile roofs on residential homes.
Professional & Affordable. I was very impressed with the quality of work and customer service I received from Barker. Their staff answered all my questions, cleaned up everything, and my roof looks fantastic. I recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.
